Hi @ishq74

Below is my WES ECA report, pl advise if I am eligible for two or more certificates diplomas or degrees

Canadian Equivalency Summary - Bachelors Degree (four years)

Credential Analysis -
1. ----
Credential - Bachelor of Science
Institution Status - Recognized
Admission Requirements - Secondary School Education
Length of program - 3 years
Canadian Equivalency - Bachelors Degree (three years)

2. ----
Credential - Master of Science
Institution Status - Recognized
Admission Requirements - Bachelor's Degree
Length of program - 2 years
Canadian Equivalency - Bachelors Degree (four years)
Remarks - The equivalency for this credential is stated in conjunction with previously completed (see #1 above)
This is strange report.
Could you please share your country and division of degrees.
Sometimes evaluation depends on marks too. If less than 50 percent then they won't give it a degree equivalent

Asked in a different thread, and received no responses, so asking here. What is current timeline for WES evaluation? That is how long does it take to get the equivalency? In case its relevant looking for US MS degree..

Hi All,
I have done my graduation (3 years) and then went ahead with a Diploma in Education (D Ed) which was around 2 and 1/2 years course. my doubt is would i be able to grab the points for holding two or more certificates? Thanks in advance for your help

I have completed BBA for 3 years from South Gujarat University, india
And 1 year PG Diploma from Middlesex University, london.
Does it qualify for "Two or More" points or not ?
WES tool currently only shows Masters degree selection in their drop down. How would i be able to have ECA done for 1 year PG Dip? Please clarify. Thanks

It should be two.
But Wes is unpredictable now.
To be safe get evaluation from Wes and iqas both. Iqas is long but sure.

Hi Friends,

I have my education as below,

B.E in Electronics (4 years) from Mumbai University - Full Time
Master of Management studies in Marketing (2 years) from Mumbai University - Full Time

Me and My friend (who has already got a PR) graduated in 2014 with the same Masters degree and he had applied for ECA through WES in 2018, his Canadian equivalency for the degree refers as Master's degree while I applied for my ECA through WES this year, my canadian equivalency refers as Post graduate diploma (1 year).

Below is my WES report,

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Bachelor's degree (four years) and postgraduate diploma (one year)

Name on Credential:
Credential Authentication: Documents were sent directly by the institution
Country: India
Credential: Bachelor of Engineering
Year: 2012
Awarded By: University of Mumbai
Status: Recognized Institution
Major: Electronics Engineering
Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (four years)

Name on Credential:
Credential Authentication: Documents were sent directly by the institution
Country: India
Credential: Master of Management Studies
Year: 2014
Awarded By: University of Mumbai
Status: Recognized Institution
Major: Marketing
Canadian Equivalency: Postgraduate diploma (one year)

My friend and myself had the same education (Engineering + MMS) but his report shows Master's while my report doesn't show Master's. Can i ask WES for revaluation or there have been changes recently in grading??

Also, if I have Canadian equivalency as Bachelors (4 years) + PG diploma (1 year), what do I put in the fields of EE which asks your education history,

1 of the blanks in EE, I will put Bachelors
in the other blank for education, what option do I select as there is no such option of "Two or more certificates"

It has options like

- one year program
- two year program
- Bachelors
- Masters
- Doctorate

I am worried that if I put masters as my education in the second blank, it shouldn't contradict with my WES report which states PG diploma (1 year).

Please help!!

my advice for you is, simply ask your friend for his ECA number, request an appeal from WES and show them that they have given other appliers a master degree equivalency for the same program you took. then, wait for the results of the appeal to come, i am sure it will be similar to your friend.

Hello guys.
Could you please help me to identify what I have to select in Express Entry for my Education if I got assesment report from ICAS that says:
  • Secondary School Graduation
  • Bachelor's Degree (4 Years)
  • Study Toward a Master Degree
Can I select Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees ?

Hi,

My WES Report summary is "Bachelor's degree (four years) and postgraduate diploma (one year)" I have completed my Masters as MBA in Finance with two years. My question is related to the post graduate diploma:

Q1. What should be selected in 'Level of Education'?
Q2. What should be selected in 'Level of education (Canadian equivalent) shown on Education Credential Assessment (ECA) report'?
Q3. Will I get points for 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees' or 'University degree at the Master’s level'
Hi bp1209, i have same credentials in WES report. What did u selected for these questions?

Hi,

My WES evaluation has come out as following, can anyone help me in interpreting if this can be considered as two or more degree, diplomas or only as an education that is three years or more. In this post wherever people we recommended to consider two or more degrees had in the summary two degrees highlighted. Can anyone suggest to me how to take this forward. I had tried reaching out to WES couple of times asking why they didnt consider my second credential in the Summary eventhough it was valid in the detailed evaluation.
Should I continue to push WES or should I try any other alternative route to get this program of mine recognized.:

Hello..can you please guide me with the procedure to get transcripts for EPGDBM from SIU.

Hi, what did you finally fill in ?And did you receive an ITA. Im stuck with the same query

I need some help. I need to get points for Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. I cant seem to understand the procedure, but I believe I have the required education to prove it.

Education:
  • Program A: 3-year degree
  • Program B: 2-year bachelors that requires completion of Program A in order to be accepted in the program.
I have diplomas and transcripts for both programs. Program 's transcript states that I have a previous degree: "Degree A"

a) Do I need two ECAs if I want points for Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees?
b) If not, will the Bachelor's official transcript + certificate & transcript translation be enough as it explicitly states that I have a previous degree?

Also, my spouse needs an ECA for secondary education. She has the diploma + transcript for the last three years of high-school. Those are years 4, 5 and 6 of high-school's specialization cycle. Will this be enough to assess her secondary education (since Canadian high-school is also split in two cycles)? Of course, this would include the official certificate provided by the institution.
