Background checks are always the longest part of the process. It has only around 6 months so not close to the 1 year mark yet so well within processing times. TRVs are hit or miss for families of Canadian citizens or PRs because most families aren’t planning on actually visiting. Used to be almost no chance while now 50/50. The fact that they are from Russia only complicates their application. Posted processing times are just estimates and the long TRV processing estimates are due to the use of processing data from Covid so are much longer than actual average processing.Who has warsaw VO ? Are they even working there ? The timeline on the ircc site always goes up and up and nobody is getting visas issued from them ♂ what is going on ?!?
It's not likely the MP can help much for the background verification part. For understandable reasons, security coop from Russian authorities not high at this point in time. The 2nd medical is a positive though wont' tell you much about timing.Timeline of Application: Warsaw VO

What sort of help we can get from the MP other than their officer calling IRCC just to get status update which is not much of a help.
You have applied for a TRV as well?According to the officer, they didnt find our marriage to be genuine.
Not true. My Russian wife was approved in 3 months from Warsaw this year. It is always about the quality of the supporting documents you submitted. We had at least a few red flags in our application but the process was smoothIt's not likely the MP can help much for the background verification part. What was your spouse's eligibility issue (which you won on review)?
I don't know what you're saying 'not true' to. If it's regarding security background checks, I don't think there is much about what one can provide that will speed things. Not true. I’m saying not true that Russia is delaying background checks. Canada doesn’t have an information sharing agreement with them. It’s 50% on Canada and 50% on the applicant for not submitting quality informationI don't know what you're saying 'not true' to.
