Just a question for you. Don’t you find it weird that this November applicant got AOR2 in 2,5 months, but I got it in less than 4 weeks? Like other October applicants who had to wait for about 2 months. I wish they started working but it looks like there’s a mistake that I have that second line on ecas. This silence (medical) is killing me. I’m sorry guys for bothering you and for starting this unnecessary conversation. Have a good evening.
To be honest I haven't been following your specific dates and timeline all
that closely. So I can't really say whether it's strange. And personally I'm not confident that AOR2 is the same everywhere or what should be considered 'official' AOR2. What's the situation with your medical?
But anyway more recent months (in 2020, but before the crisis shutdowns)clearly went more quickly to AOR1. At any rate unfortunately silence is moslty the mode between getting the file transferred and final decision - and I suspect silence will be more common until things settle down.
I saw a news article that some very large number of embassy staff worldwide had been shifted to consular work - dealing with Canadians stranded abroad. It's quite likely this includes a lot of the visa office staff abroad.
