Lady_Ashka, it seems to be way less than 12 months. I'd say more about 5-8 months.

btw, does that mean 5-8 months starting from SA, or for the whole application process?

Yes.

I got a RPRF request in May and the VO has gone silence ever since. My lawyer send them an email inquiring what is taking so long...no answer yet. Does anybody know if there is a time frame within which they have to respond to?

Responding will probably never happen. Order your gcms notes. Asking for your rprf is a standard request and does not necessarily indicate any progress.

I was under impression that RPRF means they made a decision and this will be the last step.

I hope my lawyer knows what to do. I am just so worried that it is taking so long.

You should definitely order GCMS notes. It's the only reliable way to find out what's happening with your case.

If you get your MP involved, the timeframe they would have to respond to them would be 10 business days. It's another option that you have as ordering your notes will take you 30 calendar days.

:)

How does it work like with MP? Is it better if my husband goes there in person and talk to them or rather e-mail them first explaining the situation?

Your mp will not change what is happening. The mp might find out a bit of information like "it is in process" and there is no harm in contacting them. Your sponsor should contact the mp in their riding. It might take you a while and with their own waiting period ordering the gcms notes may be very close. So do both.
