Thanks guys for your detailed responses. So I landed on 11th, everything was smooth and easy, I got my SIN number just at the airport, took me around 10 mins, everyone was very nice. I had my list of goods to follow with me so I asked on immigration desk about it and they said it will be necessary only at customs, my husband was with me all the time. The queue was long at customs, and it was moving on so slow as each piece of luggage of every passenger was opened and searched through...However when my turn came, none opened my luggage, they only took the list stamped it, kept the copy with them, gave me some other forms, so in future when I`ll be bringing in my jewellery it will not be an issue. Owl is right , for newcomers it is very good thing to know as may be you don`t want to bring all your expensive things while you are not well settled yet...
Well, now I`m in job pursue...We are in Mississauga btw, if there is anyone else :)
It was cold the day I came , but today the weather is beautiful, let us see how it all goes..Wish everyone all the best...

Congrats to all of you guys!! Fantastic :)

I was wondering, what are your experiences as to how long it took? The processing time for warsaw bumped up to 17 months which is pretty bad!!! But i heard that actually the average is 10-13 months, is that true?

Got mine PR in 4,5 months. It included interview too.

Wow, congratulations! Can you describe your case a bit? 4,5 months seems like express speed!
Also, I noticed the processing times used to be given by VO, but now it looks like CIC has one time for everyone, 17 months, I can't find a link to the Warsaw office processing time.

And, can anyone else let me know how long it took for them in 2015?

And congrats again :)

Warsaw was usually processing applications between 5-7 months in 2015.

That's so great to hear!
so, I hope they will be as quick in 2016, we will file our application in July ! :)

Why do you think CIC has only one processing time for all outland PR applications?

Our case wasn't something special, I think it was quicker because they made a decision right after the interview (So YAY for those "red flags" in my file), so it helped me save month or two, but in general I think the process time is around 6-8 months maximum. Warsaw is known to be quite quick. Also, I am from Quebec, but I doubt it had some impact in the decision speed. I do consider ourselves lucky, as I was mentally prepared to wait around 1 year :)

They removed specific time frame for Visa offices long time ago, now they just show average or maximum time. I am not sure how this 17 months work, but most of the cases are processed much quicker.

Ok, fantastic, that is such a relief to hear! I do hope they will remain quick in 2016 ;D

and I am super happy to hear that your red flags actually sped everything up, that means that being invited for an interview is clearly not a sentence of rejection :D

ok, so keep your fingers crossed guys, soon!

It has one processing time because now it's not a guarantee that your application will be processed in your home countries visa office. For instance, in my case, my wife is Polish and it is not being treated in Warsaw, but instead in Mississauga. So this time frame is more of a general average for all visa offices.

I see! Well, we'll be applying outland, he's Canadian and I'm Polish, so I think at least the second part, after SA (which is Mississauga for everyone) will be in Warsaw :)

That's what I thought too :)

But they kept it in Mississauga after SA.

Strange! But, as long as you get accepted it's fine, right?

Anyways, I'm assuming mine will go to Warsaw (maybe yours got transferred after all? you do have in your profile description a 'file transfer' and AOR2, why would it be there if the file just stayed where it was?), so good to hear they're quick! Fingers crossed for you :)

Hi guys, I got RPRF request, and just paid it. However the reciept has no fields to add my ID or anything. Just the payment details.

Should we attach an additional paper with application details, or just write on it?

Because it will be treated in Mississauga and not Warsaw as we expected. File transfer is a quick way of writing SA in the profile field. My file didn't have to go far as it was already in Mississauga.

And do you know why it was not transferred to Warsaw? Doesn't want choose the VO the second part of the outland process when filling in the app?
