More on that, here is a link to an awesome spreadsheet:

More specific data, the average waiting for spousal sponsorship in Warsaw for 8 months for 50% of applicants :) So perhaps we should be expecting a processing time closer to that. Most likely the 80% figure that we are used to seeing would be more accurate for more complex cases, e.i. previous sponsorship of a spouse

Hi, i'd thought i would join this discussion...it seems CIC is moving quite quick here is our current status:

Application Received:September 29-2015
Additional Missing Documents Requested: September 29-2015 (it took me about a 1.5 months to get them the docs, we are not in a rush)
Started Processing Application: December 15-2015
Sponsor Approval: December 31-2015
Transfer to Warsaw Office: December 31-2015 (I think they sent it before the 31st of December to Warsaw)
Medicals Received: December 31-2015

We live in the Netherlands and they decided to move the visa office to Warsaw based on my future spouse's nationality which is Polish.

I guess it also depends how they receive the application, we have tabulated everything with a clear description of each page etc, so with evidences and translations. The only thing i think they will ask for is a Dutch Police certificate (which they should) as it is only given upon a official request.

Will keep this

Great! Hopefully you find some of the discussion here useful. For even more information specific to the Warsaw VO, please see the Google Doc in my signature. Please add your information as it will help future applicants :)

As I mentioned just above, you can probably expected about 8 months of processing in Warsaw.. This may seem like bad news, but if you look at the CIC website, I believe they are posting a processing time of 26 months for outland applications.

My 8 months is coming up soon. End of the month but i have a bad feeling that i will wait longer. See what happens. Im tired of waiting.

I find it hard to believe that suddenly from 13 months it increased up to 26 months in this visa office. This whole situation is quite "fishy", so either they removed people from embassy and only one poor soul is left to deal with all applications or just they don't want anyone sending requests :)

I don't think this could suddenly happened either. Someone suggested that they will distribute the applications evenly among VO offices, so that all the offices have the same processing time. I hope this is not the case. Otherwise, it just makes it easier for the person you are speaking to on the phone to tell you they can't to anything for you, as its under the 26 month time line.

However, it was 18 months the first time I checked, that was the average time for all applications to be processed. Perhaps they changed this to the 80% rule for all applications.

I am hoping that the 8 months is accurate. I spoke with someone who worked at immigration Canada, and they told me that anyway who submitted before the website changed would not be affected by it.

Warsaw's average was 8 months from Mar 20 2014 to March 31, 2015. The information is maybe a little dated, but some people's applications were also completed quite a bit faster than the 8 months.

It is just extremely frustrating.. I was reading online that to do the same process for the UK, it would take only 3 months... Not sure why it is so lengthy.

I hope it won't affect me, but I think it will, as I submitted in November and still waiting for my SA and to see which visa office I am in. I was sure it will be Warsaw, but I don't know anymore :)
It just all this mess doesn't make sense to me. They encourage us to apply Outland for shorter wait and then they make the wait the same as Inland.
Also, to send someone from Poland to New Delhi visa office would not make a lot of sense too :)
Let's wait and see ???

Wow! It keeps changing frequently! Now showing 18 months again, even though 3 hours ago said 26 months.
What I find confusing is this:
"Many more people want to immigrate to Canada than the Government of Canada can bring in each year under our annual immigration plan. Applications received after the maximum has been met may have to wait longer to be processed."

Wondering, what is the annual immigration plan? And how much is the annual maximum? Does it mean the applications left out will be in line until a next year?

I think its more when you bring parents and grand parents.

I don't think they can apply this rule if you want to bring your partner in the country.

Someone is definitely playing with CIC site)) 18-26-18, first sponsor assessment changed to 10 days, now again back to 62 >:(
