Warsaw- 19/12/2014
AOR from Warsaw- 23/12/2014
Medicine- 22/01/2015
Request for additional docs - 06/05/2015 ( ppt copies, police certificate, RPRF)
In process - 22/06/2015 ( ATIP says that officer satisfied that our relationship is genuine and no crim concerns- 22/06/2015)
Request for removal cost expenses - 30/06/2015

Thanks for moving that forward, a0. Tried to be open and honest with CIC on my application, maybe too much. In any event, my question still stands: Anybody have any advice???

Update: I provided a letter to CIC early last week outlining our gaps in time and found out that, as of yesterday, we are "In Process." So...can anybody give me their best guess on whether that means approved or denied???

Jees your stage 2 aor was 1 day before mine and you've already had a passport request? Lucky guy. My wife and I haven't heard anything about her application yet. Still just says Application received. Congrats!

Is it common not to receive an AOR from Warsaw? We got the sponsorship approval on June 10th and still no word from Warsaw VO. I just can't help but worry that my application is at the bottom of the ocean right now. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot mrs2! I will try this for sure. It's the first time I'm seeing this e-mail address. I thought about sending an inquiry through the CIC website, but they firmly state that "We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times" - which is 12 months

Yeah, they say that but might just respond or instead send the AOR. I emailed that address to ask if they received my medicals, they emailed me back a week later to say they did. My application was within normal processing times too. So give it a try. Thats the address you will receive most communication from Warsaw from. Don't forget to include the file number.
And then, don't get scared by that official 12 months, realistically the processing times for most applications now is much shorter.

Hello fellow peeps!
Been reading this timeline for a while and decided to join now that our wait is almost over so I can just share my/our experience with whoever might need this info 8) ;D

In short, our story is this:
I am a Canadian PR (being Russian myself) sponsoring my Russian husband.
- First applied in August 2014,
- re-sent 2 updated application forms in October,
- sponsor approved / documents received in Warsaw office on Dec 15, 2014,
- request for scanned passport copies in April 2015,
- "We started processing your file on June 9, 2015" / Status on CIC: In Process
- Re-do medical: June 22, 2015
- Decision Made: Aug 17, 2015 ------> (7days) ---->>
- Passport Request: Aug 24, 2015

SO my question to those who have already landed or are past the point of sending out the passport:

HOW LONG does it usually take them to issue a visa and send it back to the applicant if done through CVAC? Or is using courier faster?
Please give me an idea, otherwise I'll do something ------ :-X

Hey, congrats on your passport request It took 10 day from the day I sent my passport to VAC in Moscow via pony express (there is no VAC in my city so I couldn't go in person), to them sending it back to me via currier. I guess it would take even less if you take your passport to VAC and pick it up in person.

Thank youuu Malinka! Yeah there is a VAC office in his city, so I guess that's the fastest and safest way of doing it You would think they know best, right? ;D

Yeah, I would definitely trust them more than I trust curriers They are actually very fast, once my passport got to them they had it back in their office with visa stamped in 3 days. It took more time to send it back and forth with curriers.
