waiting time before applying for sponsorship?

Hi - I wanted to understand if there is any / suggested wait time to sponsor spouse after marriage? ..getting married beginning of April (out of Canada) and will file the application after 1.5 - 2 months upon my return to Canada. I will have proof of the relationship (wedding pictures, honeymoon, communication, etc.).

No waiting time required . I files for sponsorship the day we received all our documents back E.G. wedding certificate.

You can apply right away after marriage. Just make sure that you'll submit enough proof of your relationship... Before your marriage. (this is the important part). Pictures with family and friends are recommended too. Letters from them would also be a good thing to submit.

Thanks for the information! It is an arranged marriage scenario. I met her in January this year. We have primarily been using whatsapp for calls and chat (almost every day). I plan to include the extract of it (or screenshots) with the application. I will also have receipts for the hall bookings, wedding pictures with family, honeymoon tickets, honeymoon pictures, wedding invitation card, and other pictures with family before I come back. Do you think this should be good? I won't be able to attach phone bills as have been using Whatsapp to (free calls!).

You could take some screen shots from your phone of your call history on Whatsapp. I wouldn't do the whole thing as that's crazy but would select a few screens of call logs covering the period you've been talking.
