Is there anybody waiting for Citizenship Test since last 12 months ?

We applied in December 2016, still no update for test.......please advise

Yes, within 2 weeks, they already received an application in January 2017

What’s the status on Ecas? In process ?
You could try ATIP to see if there is any status on your report

Yes, security check in process

We renewed PR card in 2016 and received after 15 months, they already made security check at that time, now still they are wasting time for same thing....strange and surprising....better to come as refugee and will get PR on arrival (at airport) and citizenship within 2 years (as per proposal of Treudo Govt)

That’s why I mentioned ATIP , at least you will know what comments they may have from that report

Refugees dont get PR on arrival, they go through most rigid proccess.

they are processed outside but by the time theY arrive in Canada they are already landed with PR status.

The real refugee status individuals are one of the most vulnerable folks, who are escaping death, torture, persecution. You are bitchig about those folks that they get treated better? If your case is complicated or have discrepancies it will take time. What the F*** does citizenship application has anything to do with refugee program? Crude, cold hearted a** h****s

I would try and phone them. Your application is now taking longer than a year, so you have the right to phone them.

I was a refugee, applied for Canadian citizenship on December 2016. My application is still in process at Mississauga office. I called them many times and they keep saying the background check is still in process. I will try to call them again in the next couple of days since it exceeded the 12 months time period.

PS. I travelled abroad many times maybe that’s why it’s taking this long I guess.

Did she check the box on the application to indicate that she has applied before ? If she was entered into GCMS at the time, they will know and no point hiding anything from them. If they ask, just mention what the reason was. Nothing to worry about.
