Waiting period after medical-PHILIPPINES!!!

@HopefulAngel So online applicant ka rin or paper based? I guess paper based kasi kung June ka nag-apply tapos nakapagmedical ka na. Next week pwd na ako magfollow-up kasi 13th week ko na ngayon (average processing time).

@Doda: I want to believe in what you say! That those that take time to process are those that have a 99.9% chance of getting the visa. Just envious on how applications from India are processed with days...

Yep I'm envious about those receiving their visas from Delhi in a single digit number of days!!!! and I'm in a double digit number of WEEKS, and still nothing
Never mind, hopefully all of us will hear something good despite what I'm hearing about the strike that can extend to September

Hi Guys! Does anyone have any idea on how much longer I should wait after taking my medical exam? I submitted my application last April13 here in the Philippines and took my medical exam on May25 but unfortunately didn't receive anymore feedback after that. Did anyone got their visa lately? Can u please advise me on how long you've waited considering the delay caused by the strike?

Ako nga rin waiting for the response last june. 14 ako nagpamedical, sa st lukes manila , im just curious kc ung sken e may 1 month deadline ung papamedical exam ko, was just wondering yung sayo ba wala? ... Try to contact the hospital you did your exam, call them , i heard na mga kaforum nten did that, gagwin ko din yun tom ... Goodluck sa atin naway makuha narin nten ang inas asam nting visa

Hi Doda, so u know some people who got refused alreAdy? Gano katagal daw cla nag-antay bago nkuha result? May kilala ba kaung nagmedical na pero narefuse parin?

Hi carolhynes, actually tnwagan ko na nun pa kung san ako nagpamedical dun sa baguio kc ako.. Sab nila nareceive na daw ng embassy results ko nung May29 pa acceptable nmn daw medical ko so no prob daw dun advice nila sa embassy na daw ako magfollow up thru email and I already did but there'a still no reply .

@royalangel Yes meron pa ring mga pinagsubmit ng medical na refuse kahit healthy naman. Usually ata they just check your file kung complete lang muna and then they evaluate it when the medical and other docs arrive. Ask ko lang, pwede ka ba magpamedical kahit wala pang request? What I mean is after you apply ha... Kasi diba we can have our medical before filing...

The ones who got refused, got their decision in 8 weeks, and about medicals, I believe that temporary visas I applied in the UK don't require medicals as you have already passed these tests coming to the UK.

Tinanong na namin ng officemate ko yan nun sa doctor na nagmedical sakanya kc nagsubmit siya ng application para sa anak nya pero wala pa siyang nareceive na notice for medical nung anak niya so tinawagan nya yung doctor na nagmedical sknya kung pwede daw bang magpamedical na ung anak niya even w/o the notice from the embassy pero sabi hndi daw pwede kc kelangan nila yung form na ifforward ng embassy...

Pwede kaya ako na lang magforward katulad ng ginagawa nung mga nag-aapply with their medicals na already? Attached ko nlng sa email address to the embassy. I have friend who is applying for PR status already, with his wife already in Canada, ganun ginawa niya. The difference lang is kasama na agad ung medical sa application pa lang. I am thinking of ways of speeding up my process kasi April 19 pa ko hanggang ngaun wala pa akong medical request. Baka hindi ako umabot sa Sept. 2.

@Doda You're partly correct with the medicals for applications lodged at London. Majority of EU nation citizens and PR's are exempted. But some applicants from Africa are processed in London and they are required to have medicals. I guess this is also a reason why processing time in London is quite long because they process applications from so many countries. Same story here in Manila. Aside from the Philippines being the largest source of immigrants to Canada, Manila office also process Japan, Korea and some Pacific island nations...

@RoyalAngel: Maybe I'll call IOM or St. Luke's to ask. Baguio is a bit far from me since I live in Makati. But thanks for the info.

@DocRZ... I told you so as I know an applicant for Bangladesh, who is required to submit medicals, but they didn't ask for them as he was applying in the UK. So I concluded that for temp visas you'll not require medicals as you should have passed them anyhow obtaining the UK visa in the first place. Maybe I'm wrong.
