Hi,
I am july applicant and about to get medicals. I got married in December and notified CIC of the same. They had replied back with additional documents for spouse. My wife is conceived and we have talked through this to deliver the baby in India and my wife is not going to accompany me anyways for another year or two. I have read that even non accompanying applicants have to undergo medical screening which we have decided not to risk the baby with x-ray. My question is , If I am about to add my spouse as non-accompanying dependant and undergo x-ray only after delivering the baby , does that hold principal application process ? I have decided to file non –accompanying because I thought that would get my file processed quicker irrespective of my spouse medicals. I would rather add her file as accompanying if non-accompanying in my case going to delay my process anyways. Please advice if anyone has experienced this issue or having knowledge on this.

Thank you

Hi

The entire process will be put on hold until your wife has a medical. It doesn't matter if she is accompanying or non-accompanying; they cannot approve your PR without her medical.

Also the child will have to be added to the application and medically examined as well.

Thank you for information guys. Please advice me if there is any better option available. Looks like I have to wait for an another year then.
