Waiting inside Canada for work permit / Confused

Hi to everybody!

I better made a list to stay more concise:

1. I have a job offer from a Canadian Employer from Québec for an unpaid internship with high chances of working permanently after that period of time.
2. I have a Multiple Entry Visitor Visa that expires in 2016
3. I already know French enough to work and live
4. I am planning to apply for a PR after some months working in there (I believe I would complete the necessry points).
5. I am from Mexico

So basically, I have this questions I have not been able to solve by myself:

a) If I enter canada as a visitor. Can I wait for the CAQ, LMIA approvations and work permit FROM inside Canada and travel to the boarder to have my work permit? If I am in Montréal, where could I go to ask for my work permit? (Like the closest office).

b) Can I ask for an OPEN WORK PERMIT under that situation? (This because my internship lasts only 2 months and they would have to apply AGAIN (OUCH) for CAQs LMIAs and PERMIT and that is.......not really practical. So that is why I would aim for a 6 month work permit better, for example...)

c) Would be better to apply for a Express Entry in January, knowing my current situation and how does that work?

b) I don't see why you would qualify for an open work permit based on the information you have provided. Have you looked at the requirements for qualifying for an open work permit? Do you meet one of those requirements?
c) Express Entry is an immigration program. It won't give you a work permit right away.

Last time I went to Montréal, they stamped me a permit in my passport with no expiration date (which means it is six months).

1. Is that stamp a Temporary Resident Permit?

2. May I apply as I arrive the airport to an OPW with my CAQ/LMIA and Job offer letter (and documents of proof).

I would apply for an OPW to work in a bar during the weekends, for example. =P.

No - you don't have a Temporary Resident Permit. You have a Temporary Resident Visa or TRV (which is entirely different than a Temporary Resident Permit or TRP). TRPs are very difficult to get (you have to go through a separate application process) and allow someone to enter Canada while they are inadmissible to Canada (e.g. due to a crime).

I'm guessing you have been looking at the Open Work Permit rule that applies to TRP holders. You don't have a TRP - you have a TRV. The Open Work Permit rule doesn't apply to you.

for visitors that have the means to be in Canada while adapting? I wonder if there is a program that could ease that, too.
Just guessing 8)... I went to Canada for the first time just as a tourist, but ouchey, I love Montréal and now I just want to move there.

Sorry - I don't understand your question. TRPs are very difficult to get. They are typically only granted if someone has a very urgent need to be in Canada while they are inadmissible (e.g. they have a child, parent or partner who is in Canada and who is terminally ill).

Canada's priority is not to make it easy for visitors to get a job in Canada. Canada's priority is to protect the existing Canadian work-force by giving them priority to open positions. This is why you have to go through the LMIA process before you can apply for a work permit. To get an approved LMIA, your employer has to prove no Canadian could be found for the role.

i am currently in Calgary, Alberta on a TRV ( Visitor visa) with entry of 6 months and the visa is valid until 2020. i am here to be with my husband who is on a post graduate work permit visa n permit until 2017. i want to apply for an open work permit inside canada. is that possible ? my husband is full-time working with aviation industry as a server administrator (IT) which comes under skilled occupation.

what all forms and documents are required for the same. if in case i get a permit do i need to exit the country to activate the visa ??? i have a US Valid visa as well until 2023.

would really appreciate your help.
