Sorry I forgot to update my case here...

As some members from 2010 inland might know that already that I've got DM last week.

My timeline:

We received your application for permanent residence on November 3, 2010.

We started processing your application on December 16, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We sent you a letter on March 16, 2012 to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, British Columbia, Canada, V9R 4K7 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

I received the letter on Mar 23 and also a phone call from local office at the same day that regarding landing on Apr 2. The second stage took me exactly 6 months after AIP.

I was not asked for any other docs besides my son's app as I mentioned at previous post. The only thing I'd like to share is if you decide to get your OWP then be sure you really need it, such as you've got a job offer something like that. what happened to me is I applied my OWP on Mar 3rd because the I thought my case might take another 3 months even longer which call center told me that too, also because my visitor record is going to be expired on Apr 4. So I thought to get an OWP then get a job might be better for me. After around a week after I applied OWP online, I noticed I got DM and then they signed my OWP just one day before they made final decision. So, that kinda meant I received a useless OWP if it makes sense to you guys. The other thing seems "funny" to me is since the lading date is Apr 2, so the date my "old" visitor record is actually still fine to me....... well, yes, i throw $150 to the garbage can....

Hope you guys won't get me wrong, I'm not really complaining, I was just trying to make you smile...
To give my best wishes to everyone here who's still waiting and please don't give it up, I truly believe the happiness will come to you soon.

Congratulations!!!

And thanks for the advice. I recieved DM on december 18, but still no date for landing, so I'm waiting, thought I've been tempted to apply for an OWP, I believe if better to wait. I'm hopping to nget news soon.

Congratulations again Amanda!!!

How's everyone doing in here? Still no 2nd stage from me.

Still nada from me :(

application recieved in Vegerville June 2011
AIP- April 2012
Work permit - May 2012
Second stage - Still waiting :(

How do you know of your second stage? My CIC page says decision has been made and I called CIC and they said it has been approved, is it first stage only or both? It also says medicals have been received...

I sent my application in August 5 2011 and got the update June 25th.

2nd stage is just waiting on background checks.

Mine also says "In process" still.

I get it know!! The sponsorship process says Decision Made, but the Permanent Residency says in Process, so it's only the first stage!!! When I click on the Permanent Residency which says in process it says they have started processing my application and that medical have been received. That's all!! So I guess I'm in the waiting game still...

I applied inland on September 1, 2010.
Started processing on October 26, 2010.
Got AIP on September 9, 2011.
Got DM on June 28, 2012.
Now waiting for landing. The call center agent told me on Friday that my file has been transferred to the local office (Edmonton), and its current waiting time is 4-6 weeks.

Hello how do you speak with CBSA
