Hi sam001,

Please call CIC agent and check your status as you landed on Sept 30, 2015. Call this number +1-613-9444000.

Although we landed on Sept 30th, 2015, my wife PR card not yet received. After I spoke to agent and then she ask me to submit NEW passport photos for my wife. Now still waiting to receive her PR card.

Regards,
Myat

Hi Myat,

Thanks. My card was in production for three months. Then I had to resubmit my photos on 6th of this month. So more waiting. more stress than the whole PR process. Had to cancel few trips..

COPR received yesterday.

I am going to the border to land tomorrow. What I would like to know is if we travel before receiving our PR card, will that be an issue?

Also, regarding the the PR photo specifications being different - would it speed things up if I brought new photos to the border tomorrow? Does anyone have a link to the new photo specifications?

Thanks

I applied in dec 2014, at that time still not with this photo spec. So I believe yours still the old version.

On one of 2 photos you must have : Date, name and address of photography studio and your name, date of birth.
I know some people had rejected (photos) because not having this info on it.

Hi All,

I want to share my experience with photos issue for PR card

As requested by CIC, photos with new specifications are sent along with passport in PPR request, hence our COPR letter has photos with new specifications

Landed on Jan 7th 2016

thought there will not be photo issue as COPR has valid new specification pics

But, till last week i dont have any update so i called call centre and found that they sent new photo request on Feb 9th through mail (which i dint receive) also they sent one more remainder mail on March 6th which i never got till date.
So i asked her to send email with the details of new specifications.

I resent new photos again on March 16th

There was a lot of confusion happening with these photos and i dont think they see COPR letter before sending request for photos

i ended up sending latest photos twice and Hope atleast this time they issue PR card

Hi guys,

I just received my GCMS regarding my prc application. I landed on 30 Sep last year and my appication was sent to prc centre the very next day. However, according to GCMS on 4 Jan there was an error during production and the message was sent to related department. But I remember during that time period the call centre agent kept telling me my photo should be okay, while there was actually an error! Not until 18 Feb a nice lady sent an inquiry note to the producetion team about my case, so this date(Feb 18) showed up in my GCMS.

From the GCMS, we know that if the agent did not send a note for you, they were just bulls**ting about your case.
