Got 1 out of 2 PR cards today.
My spouse and I both landed on 22-June'15 at Rainbow bridge, Niagara Falls.
Thanks all.
Received other card on 5-Oct'15. It got delayed due to mailing address issue.
Below is my story which may keep hopes alive for many who are impatient here due to CIC's weird way of working
We had moved to other address on 1-Sep'15 and updated the address on ECAS on same day.
CIC dispatched both the cards on 8-Sep'15, but ..
Out of 2, 1 card which we received earlier was sent to our representative (lawyer) who was not actually part of our PR application but was part of our bridging open work permit applications, (I still don't know why CIC did that mistake of sending card to lawyer - anyway it turned out to be good for me as it avoided my residential address issue and card reached to me through lawyer who fortunately contacted me by email and I provided my new address where lawyer sent out the card which we received in mid Sep);
And on same day 8-Sep, the other card was sent by CIC to our old address so it was returned back to CIC somehow (even I was in touch with the guy who replaced me at my old address, he kept checking mailbox daily but Canada Post also has weird way of working, I still don't know on what basis they returned back my card while some other docs are still coming to my old address and I am getting it to me by visiting that new tenant at my old address)
New address got reflected on my PR file after 3 weeks i.e. on around 22-Sep'15, and subsequently by that day CIC had acknowledged receipt of my returned card as I was informed by customer care agent when I called them twice during 2nd and 3rd week of Sep. Then on 29-Sep'15 they dispatched the card again but this time to my new address. It was in the mailbox of my new address on last Monday afternoon.
We have already made travel plans for mid Oct (were thinking to cancel tickets but everything happened just on time now) and so happy days finally
Thanks all for your posts on this forum which really helps many.
