Guessing Work Permit, however, requesting the work permit to be surrendered is not really part of the landing process anyways so I wouldn't worry about that. I don't know what more information they need from you but the landing process is fairly straightforward and doesn't require much (address in Canada and COPR is pretty much all you need to make a smooth landing (no address will not prevent landing just a little more work down the line)).

Folks, today I called CIC again to have updates on my PR card, Last week they had sent query to concern Dept and finally they have the reply. Some document verification needs to be done and they would be contacting me to have an appointment at CIC office in Toronto. Agent told me that some documents they need from me as well as verified but not sure which one. I'm afraid that while Landing Officer did not asked for my WP to surrender, Looks like that incomplete process is hindering PR processing now. Any one from this forum had similar experience.. Kindly plz share..

I too got similar response from call center agent today.. not sure what CIC is looking for.

If you look through this forum you'll see that they are sent separately and that therefore it very often arrives on different days (like a week apart).

Don't worry too much for now, also Canada Post is not the most reliable, it is normal that you received your dependents cards and not yours yet. If in a week you still haven't received it, you should contact CIC again.

Received PR card today. It seems that the processing time has been shortened largely.

I also got the same response from CIC call centre that some verification needs to be done on my file and Toronto Local office will be contacting me for appointment.Let see what happens.

I called US 1-613-944-4000, then when I chose correct options (I dont remember which numbers were they) they forwarded me Canada CIC!

This number worked for me up until 2 days ago when I did not get transferred to CIC but ended up at the "High Commision" something.
I guess there is a change that blocks all outside Canada calls.
