Waiting for PR card

Any1 who got there PR card close to this landing date please reply

Landed on June 22nd local CIC office Etobicoke. still waiting for PR card.

No, that's why I was asking. I am going to change my return ticket to fly via US now, and drive in.

received prtd after exactly 10 days from riyadh VO.

they kept all documents and returend just passport.

second ecas window is same" we started your pr card application on sep2

My relative sent my pr card to me outside Canada by FedEx. I think DHL accepts that as well. Take care don't send your pr card by Canada post . Good luck .

my status also changed to decision made and its says pr card will be mailed to you or pickup.

Yes. is there any connection? Because I applied on 3rd of September, next date i got two updates: 1. we received.. on 4th and 2. we started.. on 4th, yesterday i got this third update.

Can I apply for travel document to CIC after arriving in Canada?

I dont think it is possible. I received that travel document. Why do they call it a travel document? It is a visa..It is the same visa stamp on the passport that visa office gave before landing. Only differences are the validity dates and holder status (immigrant vs. permanent resident)

yes of course... are you interested in a particular subject?
In general it is very easy, straight forward and super fast. people are fantastic and helpful. I am waiting much more in my home country's passport control queue.

any way i will cal cic today to get an insight. currently june applicants are getting pr cards. i landed on in mid july and you landed in august. logically speaking our pr card application can not come on top. but ther is another thought

May be for iitial pr card application. in situation where an applicant applies for prtd when initial pr card applicaiton is not approved they have to process pr card application approved before they can actually issue or process prtd application.
in that case we can expect to get pr card earlier. but that again a thought , we will have clear picture when we call cic.

yes, it makes sense. this ecas system can not be only for our information: visa officer checks your status on Ecas and can not confirm. asks CIC to update to be able to proceed, CIC updates your status, and we see on our screen. i think it does not have any effect on duration of delivery since there are lots of people get card without an update on their Ecas.

Called CIC again..no update on my card. Agent said it will likely be mailed on or after Oct 1 because of huge backlog of applications.

Any idea if I can call CIC from outside Canada? Or will it be impossible?

it is not impossible but there is a complicated trick: first call US and somehow it forwards you to canada CIC.
