Hi, I landed on May 18th at toronto airport. I gave my new address in canada. for some reason ECAS is showing new address as my home address and my old address as contact/communication address. I tried to update online, it didn't reflect my changes. I called up CIC call center and they give me a online link, where I gave my new address. Has anyone done that? How many days it takes to reflect address change?

Thanks

Mine has not been updated even after a month... First I gave the address at YVR then I updated it online and the third time I gave it to a CIC call agent and still it is not showing on ecas. I've just quit bothering ...

Coz CIC is run by incompetent fools!

very much agree, and I would add to that - arrogant and completely useless if you need help

Hi Guys,

I landed on April 27th in Toronto and still waiting for my PR card. The day I had landed the wait time was 46 days...it's 81 today :-X :-X :-X. I have a doubt and would appreciate if someone can clarify:

I had faxed my current address to CIC on May 1st but the address in e-CAS doesn't reflect anything in "Current Home Address". My "Current mailing address" is still my PR application representative's address. I also used the Change Address notification option on June 2nd to update my current address online. However, my address is still not updated in e-CAS :o :o :o :o

I really don't know if the "clock" starts from May 1st or June 2nd for me...??? And does the f***ing address ever get updated? I had called CIC agent but got the typical response to call back after the processing time has passed.

Try calling CIC and ask what address they have in system. If its your lucky day you will get an agent that will open your file and confirm that for you. I've spent 20 min on the phone with "Queen Patricia" begging that she tells me what address they have but she was very determined that she was not going to open my file (as if what I am asking was such a lengthily process) After the excruciating and horrible experience with her I was answered by other agent and in less than 5 min she confirmed to me the address they have. Way to go for CIC and their ridiculous reforms and directives of not opening files (and "saving time") - because "there are callers waiting with much more important issues than you"..

It's their f*cking jobs to access our profiles and give us updates. Wouldn't it have been a lot quicker if they do that when asked rather than beat around the bush and give some bullsh*t recited, scripted lines to decline our requests. Whenever you get an unhelpful agent, hang up and call back again.

That's what I wanted to point out - 20 min useless talking vs. 5 min productively spent time - depends on who you talk to.. Try and figure out CIC ...
I guess their jobs are to calmly and politely whisper to you over the phone that you need to keep on checking ecas and wait for the 70-somethign days to pass - as if we already don't know that...

Problem is only a very small percentage of us even have PR Card Processing timelines in ECAS. My last entry was that I landed on Apr-16...

What the kell is happening now procesing time increased form 76 to 83 Days .. So if this continues I will never get PR card for sure
:( :-X :-X

All this is happening because of PAN games . But CIC should increase staff strength
I am fed up

Wow so the entire office's staff is in Toronto enjoying the Pan Am games whilst the Fed Ex delivery man/woman has been shoveling trucks of PR Card applications into the door with no one to attend to?

I don't even have my "landing line" on Ecas...

I think we need to look into it statistically. Lets see processing time each year ... at around January ..... around June ... and around December

Feb 17 2015 - 26 days
Feb 17 2014 - 62 days
Jan 07 2013 - 58 days
Jan 07 2012 - 38 (business) days
(cannot find Jan 2011 data)
--------------------------------------------
July 02 2015 - 83 days
June 18 2014 - 94 days
June 31 2013 - 63 days
June 09 2012 - 46 (business) days
May 26 2011 - 34 (business) days

--------------------------------------------
(cannot find Dec 2014 data)
Sep 02 2013 - 36 days
Dec 08 2012 - 58 days
Dec 17 2011 - 35 (business) days
Dec 04 2010 - 29 (business) days

So, that's the trend mostly. Seems like Summer is the "Rush Hour" season for CIC

good that you captured all these timings. By the way I just got off the phone with CIC and they mentioned it is now 101 days.

Landed on Apr. 22. No PR card yet. Call centre agents are very uncooperative.

101 days is for those who are applying for extension. First time Pr card is still 83 days ( Source )

The processing time does not account for mail delivery, right?
