I landed on Nov 10. Now my last waiting session begins............ Let's see how long it takes to get the PR card. My ecas status only showing PR application details. landing info not being updated there.

Guys, do we have to apply for PR card after landing or they will automatically doing it for you ? because I found forms for PR card application. I landed on October 24th and my ECAS hasn't shown anything yet.

Hi Friend,

I don't think we have to apply for our first PR card. The CBSA officer already has applied that for us which is part of the landing formalities.

I see, I figured they'll apply it for us. It's just I'm a bit worry since my ECAS hasn't shown anything for my PR card.

I landed on Nov 8 and my ecas has just changed from DM to complete, and it shows my landing info. I guess yours will be updated soon.

hi md4me

I landed at Carway border on Nov 02 and still no info on ECAS about PR card...jz shows PR process as complete

I had an international trip on Nov 15 which I will have to cancel now :((((((

I highly doubt you will have your card in the next couple of days, as long as you are away for more than a week and have an address wherever you are going an international embassy will be able to organize you a travel document so you can board a flight back to Canada.

You should be fine - read this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=064&t=10

You will need to apply for a travel document from one of the three embassies in India, by the looks of it they are in New Delhi, Chandigarh, and Bangalore. I'm not sure if you need to physically go to the embassy, you'll have to look into that.

Hi All,

I wonder if you can contact your local CIC office - most cities have one. You may be able to make an appointment to see them, as they are supposed to help you with immigration/settlement issues.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. I shall investigate.
