I do not think anybody can answer this for sure. If they can follow the new 36 calendar days rule than you have a chance, but no guarantee.

i called cic this morning , they said they started processing yesterday (nothing still online) on my PR card file, and its already 40 days since we landed (25 july),on cic website says 36 days. doesnt make sense to me

Well the processing time is not accurate sometimes. Also, it might refer to the amount of time before they start processing your application, not how long until you get PR card in hand. So in your case 36 days is pretty close. You should get your card in a couple of weeks.

I was asked to submit the photos by mail. They sent a return envelope.

i hope ur right and i will receive it soon, as all other paper work is ready ( applying supervisa for my mother) and just waiting for PR card.

IS CIC CALL AGENTS GIVES RIGHT INFORMATION ,I CALLED THEM 3 TIMES IN DIFFERENT TIME PERIOD REGARDING MY PR CARD I LANDED ON 5TH MARCH THEY TOLD ME THEY POSTED ME ON 5TH JUNE I NEVER RECEIVED I TOLD THEM THEN THEY SAID ME TO SEND SOLEMNLY DECLARATION FORM I SENT THAT ALSO I WAS TOLD IT WILL TAKE 3-4 WEEKS TO RECEIVE NEW CARD I WAITED CALLED THEM THEY TOLD IT WILL V POSTED BY END OF WEEK I WAITED FOR 2 WEEKS CALLED AGAIN THEY TOLD IT WILL TAKE TIME ...ANYONE HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PLEASE DO TELL ,OR WHAT I MAY DO ???? guys, if my case is under verification, can i leave canada and let someone else received it than send it to me abroad or it is risky? please give me your advice

Hey New Guy,
1. Not everyone goes through verification before issuing PR card. Did you apply under CEC? If yes, as soon as you land, the PR card process initiates automatically at the border. You do not need to apply separately for it.
2. It might be both. Better keep checking with your consultant. Some people here had their passports sent to their lawyers.
3. If you are a new immigrant, you cannot apply for express PR. Doesn't matter if you have travel tickets or not. This service is available only for PR card renewals which normally take 6 months. Not for new immigrants getting PR card for the first time.

I'm kinda worried about the photos i submitted last year for PR card, not because of the specifics but because of timeline, in the cic pr card photo specification site (cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf) it says the picture taken should be under 12 months, does that mean at the time of application filed or time u landed. I know its not a big thing to worry but i hear a lot of PR cards are delayed due to photo specifics and they don't mention why they reject the pictures and ask for new ones.

I'm planning to travel on November 2nd, and tiny bit worried about the delay of my PR card. Any advice is much appreciated.

Chill out mate! You just landed on August 16th! Give it some more time, I'm pretty sure your photos are fine.

I just called the CIC call centre two days ago and they said I should receive the card by September 22nd. So add 15 days to that date in your case. They told me currently it takes between 35 days to 50.
I landed on August 1st by the way.

Stay patient, you'll receive your card with no problems.

Def not 2 weeks. CIC posted me a letter last Wednesday from NS and I received it in Edmonton, AB on Tuesday (remember monday was a holiday). So U should receive it in 3 days, max 4 days. My guess.
