I just added myself to the tracking sheet. Hopefully, the processing time will be 52 days as indicated on CIC website. I need my PR card to travel at the end of the year. Finger crossed.

They are still processing sep/oct 2012 apps so you may dtill have a long wait ahead. Nothing you can do.

I received the PR cards for me and my son. It's been more than a week and I haven't received my wife's PR yet. I called CIC yesterday and they informed that my wife PR card is not delivered yet, and is in some verification process. Does anyone have any idea what kind of verification is being done during this phase?

Did anyone had a similar experience?

pr card processing time down to 43 from 52 calendar days...not sure if things really are speeding up

I landed on Sep 25 and called CIC on Oct 23 to check my address on file and found it to be wrong. Corrected it immediately. Today when I call them to check the status of the card, they are telling me that I will receive the card only after Dec 5 since the 43 days of processing time will start from Oct 23 and not from Sep 25. This is very weird...Anyone in the similar situation?

That's strange....I mean people who will land later than us may get their cards before us..this is ridiculous...whats the point in having reduced processing time....

Sit tight. Looks like it's the same with CEC applications. DEC applicants are still waiting for MR but JAN and FEB already got MR.

Hi Sali84,

If you think you landed before and didn't receive the card.. please contact CIC customer care and check if everything is in place.. as there are cases where the address is wrong etc....

I landed on Oct 19 th. When I renewed the OHIP card the officer told that in the first 6 months duration I am not supposed to stay more than a month outside Ontario.
