You might be right.

The cards come from Nova Scotia, not Ottawa. There is a post in this channel where someone posted a picture of his PR card letter and the address on the letter is the PR processing centre in Sydney.

Still no PR card today. Post Delivery just came and no PR card yet. Mine was mailed out on 27 June. Keep updating guys. That's all we can do now.

So PR Cards from Sydney, NS (CPC Sydney) first go their local mail processing facility (1 business day), then to Halifax, NS (1-2 business days), then get shipped to a major processing facility in your area (maximum 4-6 business days depending on where you are located), then go to a local facility (1-2 business days) and then get delivered to your home (1-2 business days) as far as I understand from the Canada Post website.

This totals up to 8-13 business days throughout Canada. With the mail having moved slower than normal due to the dispute with the Union, this could explain why nobody's card sent out after June 24 has been received yet.

With Canada Post slowly getting back to normal processing times for regular mail, I expect PR Cards sent out by CIC (Sydney, NS) after June 24 to arrive shortly hereafter to people's mailboxes, so I wouldn't worry too much, unless you have travel plans coming up very very soon. (like me )

I think Canada Post, during the past 2 weeks were not working full shifts and that is the reason our PR cards are probably in a big pile.
However, Canada Post JUST resumed their services. Therefore, I am expecting them to deliver all the Cards that were mailed out by CIC either this week or next week. Hope for the best and keep on updating your statuses.

Please try to call Canada Post and talk to an agent, if you have not received your pr card after CIC sent out by 8 business days.
File a complain and there's no harm for you.
They claim there's no delay in their system and national wide regular mail maximum is 8 business days to be delivered.
Due to it is regular mail, so if it's late delivery. You can't do anything. All you have to do is back to CIC and file the lost and
wait CIC to do this process again.
I still receive mails delivered by Canada Post.
But don't you feel weird why after Jun 24, no one here and in other forums receive their cards while we still receive other letters
from Ottawa, other provinces and even from other Countries??

Let's be positive. They have been repeatedly saying that the volume of mails has significantly decreased in their system. It might indicate that they did not have enough mail for one ship. That's why our cards have been sitting somewhere in the system. Since there is now movement and the talk between union and Canada post has apparently progressed, we can be hopeful to have them by the end of this week.

No. You don't have to apply or pay fees. Your card will be mailed to you. This is for first time cards. You have to go through the application process when you renew your card, but not now.

Nope. The COPR is sent from Ottawa. Pr card from Sydney, apparently. Although a CIC agent told me that the cards are sent form Ottawa, but I think it was BS.

Could you please share which department you talked to? Whenever I call, their response is that they cannot track since there is no tracking number?

They usually get back to you the next day on the phone. Stay a bit more patient and positive. It might lead you somewhere.
