Once you landed, your WP had been void. Usually the WP is taken by a VO while landing. You can travel to your home country if you want with no problem at all. On the other hand you'll face a problem to get back to Canada without a valid travel document (you'll not be allowed to get any commercial plain). You can use your COPR at the Canadian border, but the problem is, to get there (this is no a problem for visa exempted country passport holders).algonquin said:in my case I have work permit with validity till Dec2014 and I am a landed immigrant in March and waiting for PR card.
can I visit my visa required country and come back basing on the work permit/multiple entry visa though I am a landed immigrant absent a PR card?
nee to travel in June for a family function
any other suggestions to circumvent this archaic and cumbersome issue. thanks in advance for your guidance

So if you travel, in order to get back to Canada, apply for the Canadian travel document back home.
