Hi all,
My partner and I are waiting to receive our first PR cards. It has been 12 weeks so far so we're quite anxious. Last night we both received emails with letters attached that said that the PR photographs were rejected. However, both these letters are addressed to other people!! The names, UCIs and application IDs are not ours!
Should we just ignore this? Could it be that our own photos were rejected but we got sent the wrong letters by mistake?
We're both based in the UK so it's very difficult to find the right contact to resolve this. I have filled out the web enquiry form on CIC but obviously won't hear back for a few days at least.
Thanks for any help anyone can give!

Dear Seniors,

I applied for Permanent Residency under the Federal Skilled Workers class. Got my visa stamped. I will be doing my First/Initial Landing shortly. However, I have the following queries:

1) I will carry ...

- My COPR ( I received two COPR forms one with my photo [the one I send along with the PPR request in 50 mm x 70 mm dimensions] attached and the other COPR without photo ) ,

- A passport with a valid immigrant visa ,
- A form for Goods that I will be carrying.

Having said that ...

Do I need to carry any EXTRA PHOTOS with me to be presented at the Point of Entry for my NEW PR card purpose ? Because I heard from so many ppl saying that the CIC requests for a photo for the PR card at the later stage which further delays the PR processing ... Please let me know if I need to take any extra photos or any other documents than the ones that I mentioned ... ( However, I will carry my birth certificates, educational documents. )

2) Do I need to fill any form for the PR card ? Because they don't know about my Canadian address , so where and how will they deliver the card ?

3) I was reading somewhere that on the first landing , the immigration officers take some sort of an interview and ask some questions also ? If so, then what kind of questions do they ask ? Like is it related to the documents we submitted to the CIC when applied for the PR ? for e.g. about employment details, or adaptability etc ? ?

How long does it currently take on average to receive the PR card in the mail after landing?

I landed May 03, 2016 and am currently waiting to receive the card, if anyone could add me to the list I've been seeing in this topic that would be appreciated.

it says 58 days currently on the CIC website but that figure seems to change week to week.

I hope it remains this way :)

I landed 04.06

They had old format pictures so I was expecting the new pictures request, but instead received PR card :D pleasant surprise :)

How did you have the old format?

It's been in effect since January 3rd.

Congrats to everyone getting their PR cards.
I landed November 19, 2015 :)
Re-submitted new photos mid April and am still waiting :)
194 days so far. Unbelievable.

Sorry Flo, no one landing in 2015 will be getting PR cards if they didn't already get them in 2015.

That's the CIC backlog reduction strategy.

Because I submitted my application last year with old format pictures. They never asked new pictures, not during interview, not during landing, not by mail request. I just received PR card yesterday.

They asked us for two pictures during PPR.

This is a bit infuriating.

According to the call center the reason they couldn't accept the old format for applications received well in advance of the new guideline (I'm talking 3 months in advance) is because the machine that did the old cards broke.

So either that was just smoke, or they made your PR card back when you submitted your application.

How I hate them...

This is beyond stupid.

It's been 8 months since you landed. Why can't someone help you?!

No, they couldn't done it in advance, as card has my landing date and place on it that they could have not known in advance.

I was surprised that they made me a card as well as I was really prepared to redo pictures and actually was quite pissed they didn't ask to redo pictures before interview, but either some machines still work or they fixed it, but I got my card with old picture in 2,5 months.

Called again today.

They don't know anything. This time the agent tried to contact the useless bag of compost in Nova Scotia that does the PR cards, but they are all useless turds and couldn't tell her anything. Couldn't even tell her if the new pictures were received (which is interesting, because apparently the old pictures are still usable). ...I also submitted photos with my application, and at landing, and re-submitted, they have so many pictures it's ridiculous.

The agent recommended we try to contact them ourselves. I have no contact info for them. How do we reach them? Does anyone know?

The one thing they told us was that there is no "processing time" for applications that required re-submittal of photos.
This basically means they aren't getting processed until they have some spare time.

Hubby landed 29th April...when I checked CIC site when the update date was May 3rd the processing time was 41 days...today is 41 days from date of landing...odd thing is we sent new picture to CIC LA in Dec 2015 and when we went through border two weeks ago the agent told us the picture was the wrong size on the COPR....we told him that this is what CIC LA wanted and we gave it to them...He said ok...it almost felt like he was saying we added the picture ourselves...
