Out of topic for this particular thread, you'd be better served in the 2014 or 2015, or 2016 threads, but....
My experience is that we listed thing that we obtained within the last 6 months, and everything else was "clothes", "bedroom furniture", etc...
According to whatever I read back then, stuff that was old and had been owned by us for a long time didn't matter.
The value of used clothes is essentially zero, which is probably why they don't care.
When we actually went through customs we found that they didn't even care about the list, all they cared about was having a list of items that were "to follow", as in, items not coming with you on your first crossing.

That "to follow" list is important, because you won't be taxed for items on that list as long as their value isn't greater than $10,000.

Thanks for the heads up...I posted here because I assume most of those who are on this thread likely landed in the last 6 months and would have first hand experience. :)

458_bridge - I would post your topic on Spousal Sponsorship as some of the senior members regularly check that thread....but if your status now says decision made you should be receiving a letter that says either 1) we are ready to issue you your travel documents (PP request) or 2) a letter indicating a refusal (highly unlikely if they have not requested any additional documents or interview). Check your junk email folders etc...we received all letters / decisions from CIC via email. In some cases, the email will only go to the applicant and not the sponsor (for us it was both). I wish you great news!!! If you don't hear anything, you should follow up.

Take care,

C.

Seriously, this is insanity. No PR card yet.

Has anyone who submitted between October 1 and December 30 gotten their PR card?

I can't wait till we toss this terrible department into the trash where it belongs.

Hello Everyone! Once you land as a PR and the immigration officer sends in your application for the card...

1) How long does it take to show up in ECAS?
2) How long does it take to appear as "In Process"?

Any and all advice is appreciated!

It never shows up in ECAS.

ECAS is garbage.
For the sponsor it stops at "Medical Results Received"
For the applicant it stops at "Landed at blahblah office"

Agreed. Nothing on shows on Ecas , still waiting from Dec 28th 2015.

Landed on February 8, 2016.

Received PR card in the mail on April 6, 2016. No additional correspondence from CIC regarding photo requirements (photos taken in May 2015). Feeling very relieved to be done with this process!

If only I had landed in 2016 instead of 2015... ugh.

My husband's took a ridiculously long time due to CIC's errors causing a doc request (he landed in July and finally got the card in November), but it did show up in ECAS... a couple weeks before the card came. Then ECAS went to "complete".

I landed two days ago, but it seems I am also in the old picture category, as we applied in November. You would think that by now they would be aware of picture changes, but they don't mention it and definitely not are taking new pictures.
ECAS are useless for me as well, as even after I landed it says "in process" and not a word about that decision is made.
I was happy that this all PR process is almost over, but it seems it is just a beginning again with all this mess.

As per usual, there's no rhyme or reason when it comes to the card. A person that landed on Feb 9, received their card last week.

I had new photos taken at the border by the officer. Will this delay my card?

No it won't delay it . If you had to wait till they sent for new photos and return new photos then it would be delayed ... No Pr CARD IN MAIL TODAY :(

I would say the officer saved you some time.

have you submitted an inquiry form to figure out where it is? there is a form specifically for the pr processing centre. i don't remember the name, but if you google lost pr card, it'll probably show up. i got my pr card quickly after submitting one, after waiting 6 mo. for it.

Landed February 12, 2016.

On Thursday, April 7, 2016 call centre agent confirmed that pr card was printed and sent out.

Yesterday, April 11, 2016 pr card received in mail.

Applied August 11, 2015 (only pictures I ever sent were with the August 2015 application)
Landed February 20, 2016
Received PR card April 14, 2016
