Me! we were told 8 weeks when we landed on Dec 20th. Now it's up to what? 105 days?? We have a flight to Europe on March 18 and I am very afraid we won't get my wife's PR card in time! Nothing showing in eCAS that the PR card is in process...

Me too.....I've booked the ticket home but only staying 20 days and it takes a month of processing time for the travel document, I am worried if I don't get PR before leaving the country nor getting the travel document before coming back then I will have to pay $$$ for changing the flight plus telling my boss that I won't be back for another 10ish days.

When I landed, the officer told me it takes 2 weeks or at least I shall get the card before the end of January, yea right, glad I had checked the processing days before landed (78 days back then).

I don't believe ECAS will show a status of "PR Card in process". It only goes as far as "DM".

Welcome to Canada, hurry up and wait!

Hi all, I also was told that I would be getting my PR card in 8 weeks when I landed last October, it actually took 108 days to arrive, including mailing time.

Landed November 28. CBSA officer said the card would be mailed out, but according to the system he was working from it would be anywhere from 14-16 weeks before we received it, despite what CIC processing times were being quoted. Seems his estimate at the time was pretty accurate.

I landed on Jan. 23 early morning and I think I have to wait several months to get the card...

The CIC website shows people need to wait 105 days for a new PR Card before it is mailed out...

No PR card for us yet also, CIC is awesome! :P

Not sure what's going on, but processing times now says 73 days??? So I'm past that time, should I call CIC?

Yeh 73 day plus 6weeks for mailing.it says Does not include document mailing time (up to six weeks).

That by my maths is 73 + 42=115 days.

Processing times now are 105 DAYS, SO I WOULD ADD THE 42 DAY MAILING TIME ON TOP OF THE 105 DAYS, THATS A GOOD 150 DAYS.

When i recently called CIC, they said that they changed te PR card and that included new printers, they are having problems with the printers that has caused delays, then on top of that the 25000+ PR applications that were added due to the Refugee intake, it adds to the the back log.

I Really hope its not 14/16 weeks as some are saying, but yes u are rite. It does add up to that much time.
