If I may ask, did you or any of your family members had any medical issues?
I have been waiting for PPR for almost 3 months after medicals because of a medical issue (relatively minor) with one of my children.

No, we did not have any issues.

I think the background check/security check is what takes the most time.

Hi guys I just have a few questions for anyone who is residing outside Canada and received PPR.
1. Do we have to submit photos with Passport to local CIC office?
2. If yes, how many photos and is it the same specification as the ones submitted with application?
3. Does the date have to be stamped at the back of the photos?

Thanks is advance for any valuable answers.

Hi

I got request for passport today at 11:00 pm EST. I wanted to ask if I need to submit photographs along with the passport. They haven't asked in the letter so thought to check with you folks.

Please advise.

Thanks

Congrats JKSNK!

If they didn't ask for photos, you don't have to send any.

If you don't mind, can you tell us how long it took your medicals from under review to PPR? Thanks.

For all the applicants waiting for ppr. I applied in june 2012 in cec class just got the ppr email on Feb 14 2014 as the security clearance can take a long time. Just wanted to add that if you are worried check ur notes if eligibilty is done then its just a matter of time and your ppr is on way and also dont wait for cic to contact you. You can email them every 2-3 months. Thank you.

Wishing all the best to all who are waiting.

Hi Cazrypr,

Congrats on your PPR. Just wanted to know what your ecas showed all these days while you were waiting for PPR. Did it show 'Decision made' or 'in process'. Just curious as I'm also waiting for PPR email since 6 wks. I'm an Apr'13 applicant and did my medicals on 23-Dec. Ecas turned decision made in Jan-1st week. Not sure if they do security check even after making decision or its done before that. Any clue from your notes?

Hi cec0413,

From my experience your security should be done by now as the decision is usually made when they have everything on your file. I suggest you send an email to them stating that your ecas shows decision made and it also shows that the office will contact your regarding the decision but you till now havent heard from cic ottawa, I have seen similar cases like yours on this forum and after they sent the email they were replied with ppr email. Wish you all the best hope it helps.

I wouldn't do that. If they have requested for passport, you are mostly done. Why think of BOWP. I suggest you wait till end of Feb. Also see other threads to get an idea how long it would take to get your passport back.
