status on gcms does not matter, maybe since you are not the principle applicant therefore, there is really nothing to examine in your application except medicals and security therefore, they didnt set the status to in process , anyways as I said it really doesnt matter.

Sorry should have been more clear. I was not looking at my application (I am citizen), I was looking at my spouse's (principle applicant).
Also, the status I have shared is not from GMCS (I never applied to get those). From the ECAS website, the overall status says "Application Reveived" but inside it says "Medical Received".

Does this mean that the application is already in process? I am hearing Medical Received is one of the last steps before decision made. Do you think this is the case in ours? Because its only been 3-4 months since I applied, whereas most people on these forums have been waiting for much more.

Here is the exact output online:

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on November 8, 2013.
Medical results have been received.

usually after medical checks there are not much to be done except security so maybe for spouse category they issue the medical and security checks first then once completed visa officer would review the application to finalize it that's why no in process status yet anyways ecas statuses are not important so dont worry....

Nope, I'm thinking of having my lawyer do that.

abcd, which country you are from? I thought they are just giving hard times to applicants from troubled regions,

Finally I got PPR ! Hopefully this will finish soon :)
Timeline
May 2012 App received
Aug 2012 AOR
JAn 18 In process
Oct 2013 Medical
Feb 2014 PPR

I am from Croatia. It really depends, I lived in 5 country s more then 6 months.
My experience for future applicants:
Before you apply read everything as many times as you need to understand.
Never argue or bother CIC too much, patience is the key here
Try to have all documents ready before they ask
Do exactly what they ask, don't try to fool them

This is a good forum, a lot of usefull information.

Wish you all the best with your application :)

PPR is received today.

Medicals done: Jan 7th 2014
Medicals sent: Jan 10th 2014
PPR Request : Feb 6th 2014
When you get ppr request, does the status change from In process to Decision made? Also when you click on in process or decision made is there anything after medical received? Because I have "In Process" and inside that, Medicals received. My medicals were uploaded the same day as you and still no email.

My situation is almost identical, even timeline is practically the same.
Have you tried sending any additional tests or specialist reports on your child through the doc you had your medicals with?

Hi we applied in Dec 2012, to NS. FSW with AEO. Received word we are in process Feb 2013. Then got an email in Jan 2014 to go for medicals. We had ours on Feb 5th and all info was submitted to LVO on Thurs 6th Feb. We have some updated docs to send on Monday, police checks etc. Then it is just a matter of PPR. Will let you know when we hear. :) Charlotte.
