Waiting for PPR after Medicals - Add your case here

Yes... This is becuase of their strike which lasted for more than 6 months & holiday month of december...But it seems they are working continuously to break the backlog...

There are folks from March 2013 who already received PPR. Unfortunately there is no standard rules for CIC issuing PPR, it seems to be random at times. Let's all keep the faith and hope for the best.

My local MP office gave me an update on my status, they said my application has been approved and passport request email was sent to me on 04-Dec but I did not get it. I am now trying ways to make CIC resend the email.

I saw other applicants who have included photos. After so much work and wait, what's the harm? Worst case they'll hang it somewhere in their office... if you're a looker

I am confused, Does not "medical received" means that my application should be "In Process" or "Decision made"?

My overall time is only 4 months, yet I got status "medical received" does it mean its just luck or I still have to wait like most people out there?

BTW, my spouse is from Europe and only 21, never left the country and just finished university (no job history).

My IELTS will expire in 1 month(2 years valid), I do not know what is going on. I did some research and after medical they still do some Security checks. I can not believe is taking so long.
I don think anyone is waiting this long. Hopefully I don't make any records for waiting :

status on gcms does not matter, maybe since you are not the principle applicant therefore, there is really nothing to examine in your application except medicals and security therefore, they didnt set the status to in process , anyways as I said it really doesnt matter.
