PNP is different than CEC. Most likely (cannot say for sure since each province is different) you'll need to maintain your job for your PNP eligibility. Refer to the PNP website for your province for accurate answers on this.

Wow! This is a true shock to me...! I was always told by lawyers and/or other provincial nominee applicants that if one loses their jobs and/or switches employers, that your entire application is effectively terminated. Please verify that this is NOT the case with provincial nominees? I failed to mention this in my original posting.

Other members, if you have any information regarding this specific topic, PLEASE comment!

Thank you!

E-cas status just changed to decision made!!! so anxious !!

Don't worry. Many people have E-Cas changed first and received PPR soon after. You'll receive it soon!

Hi Everyone!

I just received an email from my immigration lawyer!!!! He received the landing documents today! I have to go pick them up and and head to the border!!! I AM FINALLY A PERMANENT RESIDENT!!! (No request for passport, bio-data, or other documentation - I have a German passport; this may have allowed them to process my application slightly different since Germany and Canada have a visa-waiver program in place).

WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE MY FEELINGS AT THE MOMENT. I thought I would share the incredible news and wish all of the remaining applicants good luck! I am grateful for all of your input, advice, and encouraging words!

My next question is this: When landing at the border, what sort of questions can I reasonably expect? Do they do an intensive interrogation about an applicants entire application or are the questions rather simple? I am concerned to make any statements that may contradict some minor details in my application... if you guys tell me that this interview is extremely in-depth, I will make sure to review my entire paperwork from my application in order to be well-versed with everything contained therein. If it is a simple process, I may just be worrying a little bit too much.

Thanks! So excited!

Hi Guys ,
Just an Update.
I emailed CIC last week Thursday asking if they have received my RPRF payment.
My Email
Dear Sir/Madam,
I paid the RPRF and sent the receipt as requested . Can you please confirm if you have received the receipt as I have not heard anything from your office.
I would be very much obliged if you can reply on my current status.

I got the Reply as :
"Please be advised that we have received your RPRF payment.
Our office will get in contact with you regarding the next steps in your file, in due time."

I guess we are sailing in the same boat buddy! I got a similar response. Did you make the RPRF fee payment Upfront or did you receive an email from them? I made the payment upfront to avoid any delays!

Actually i emailed them asking whether they have sent me the RPRF Coz i was worried that i might have deleted it by mistake if it would have gone to my junk folder. They responded back saying they were waiting for my RPRF payment.
So i paid and sent them the Receipt...

I haven't landed yet, but, what I understood from many of the other folks is that.. Its not an interview or interrogation. They may going to check if you have some bank balance in your account to ensure you are not going to be a burden on govt as and when you landed. They will verify your landing papers and will let you come inside. It should eb pretty quick and simple. DOn't worry.. you made it already!!
