Hi Friends,

I appear for medicals on July 14th and some reason my doctor took loner time than normal to upload the results and finally they confirmed me that they uploaded results on Monday so I'm hoping my passport request in couple of days from now if time works in my favor, however i have a question regarding my passport that is getting expired in November therefore i applied for renewal and expecting the new one begging of next week . Is it mandatory that i should inform Immigration department about my new passport before they send Passport request or should send the new one when they ask for Passport.

Please advise me with your suggestion if any one have some ides w.r.t my case

Thanks in Advance

I need some informed advice! I am currently waiting on my PPR (medicals received June 27, 2013 and application received by CIC in February 2012). What happens if I want to take a few weeks/months off from work in a sporadic fashion? I do not mean to take off for a month at a time - I am talking about a situation during which I would work for 2-3 days per week only. Of course, my salary would reflect my reduced work schedule. How can a lower salary (the only way CIC would even find out about this is by the 2014 T4 and/or if they request a report from my company detailing my salary starting from the 2013 tax deadline up until the stipulated ending date as stated by CIC) affect my permanent residency application?

Also, I am not in this particular situation, however, what occurs if an applicant loses his/her job in this stage of the game?

Any responses would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Your application has been evaluated already and a medicals are requested. Usually (in99.9%) cases cic wont recheck ur eligibility criteria. This is solely my opinion.

I think it will be good if you can send the new passport soft copy in email as soon as you get it.. it should not delay your next stage... its my opinion only...

Yep, I'd second Mrniceguy - Its definitely advisable to send the Passport copy as soon as you receive the new passport. And when you are sending that email, just include one line at the bottom requesting CIC to acknowledgement the receipt of your new passport copy and attach it to your file.

All the best.

It has been exactly 2 months since I did my Medicals too. I applied for GCMS notes on July 13th, so tomorrow will be exactly 30 days. Lets see if they provide me with my GCMS notes or not....

Did you get your GCMS notes?

Hi All,

I just received PPR request... :) :) :) :) :)

All the best to all who are waiting and hope you all get it soon...

Could someone suggest, which one is better for sending the passport? Canadapost or Courier?

Canada Post:
CPP – Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa ON K1G 4B9

Courier:
CPP – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1

If you are NOT in Ontario, couriers like Fedex may be faster. CIC would only accept Xpresspost Prepaid for returning your passport to you.

Mrniceguy3981, congratulations, we have almost the same timeline until now, I send additional documents to CPP-Ottawa and I still waiting for passport request.
my question is how I can get my passport return to me back in Mexico?? because CPP-Ottawa only accept Prepaid envelopes from Canada Post...
