This wait is driving me nuts! I keep on seeing people get their PPR (which is awesome for them) who did their medicals way after some of the applicants on this forum.....

I wonder if it all depends on the Visa Officer!

Same here Jaddy
waiting sure is driving us nuts, who did medical after us are getting PPR and we are still waiting

It's been over a month CIC received our medicals. ..Is there a possibility of rejection after receiving medicals? Do you think I should apply for GCMS notes?

its been one and half months for me too Madinxs
i also asked same question few times,no one has the answer.

Same here Jaddy. The PPR email comes from the same visa officer as seen. Ideally, there shouldn't be so much delay in issuing PPRs. What do you say ?

The wait was driving me nuts. ..Went ahead and paid the RPRF fee UPFRONT. ...either ways, I know it's not going to speed up the process. .Just a hope!!!

You are saying this from just one perspective. You are application is being processed at a much faster rate than most.
I can see that the medical request was received in early June even though you are a late October applicant which essentially means you cleared the most stressful eligibility part as early as June.
I had to wait till late July even though I applied early August.
I would any day pick the wait for PPR than for an eligibility clearance.
I think almost half of August is yet to receive MRs. Even they will be happy to be in your position.

Now regarding the dealy after medical request is most probably to do with criminality check. I recently received my GCMS notes and criminality and Security was still in progress.
You can order your's and see where your application is stuck at.

Count the number of days from application submission rather than from any particular stage within the whole process.

Hi Kevin220,

When did you order your GCMS notes ? The information in the notes is generated the day your notes are requested or 30 days prior to receiving it. I don't think there is really any criminality checks going on as these are carried out mostly before receiving MR.

I'm still waiting for my PPR for almost 2 months now but its been delayed all because of the strike.

I received my MR almost at the same time I applied for latest GCMS notes and criminality was still in progress.
My friend who applied in Feb last year received her PPR just last month even though she did her medicals last August. She did most of her schooling and vacation in various countries and may have contributed to the delay. But all these are just a guess.

You should have received PPR by now. It's better you send an email to CIC and they might reply with something ueseful.

Yeah.. I did check with them and they replied with a standard response that no action is required from me and the office will contact me in due time. so just waiting for some more time no other choice.

I totally agree with you kevin220 that my application got the initial processing done way faster than others. But on the same token, my question is that why would they process my application faster for the first stage and then just put it on the side. I have been in Canada since I was 17 and haven't traveled anywhere. So i am not sure why would the criminality or security would take longer. Anyways, I am keeping my hopes up and hoping to see that PPR email today or within the next week :)

Also, I applied for GCMS noted on July 15th, just in case.

could it depend on NOC codes or its just random . I am so confused regarding this situation..

its ridiculous they can send us the decision by email now ! what the h.. are they waiting??
at least answer our emails with a positive comment like "your application is approved PPR will issue soon"
:o :o
