Waiting for Passport Request

provincial nominee kasi husband/principal applicant and right now nasa canada na on a TRV and work permit. pag nasa canada na kasi, instructions ng CIC is to send the application to Buffalo visa office.

thanks robipark, but what is your advice to us, renew now or wait for further instructions.. or they will still honor the green passport. (have read in one reply that CEM respect DFA's decision that anyone holding the green passport can still use it for as long as it is valid/not expired) sensya na, am just so confuse right now, and of course am thinking of the expense am facing for that renewal.

@bigboy i just renew it today ung passport ko sobrang dali lang. dumiretso lang ako sa DFA director's office dala ko ung PPR from CEM then ung copy ng passport and ung scheduled appointment ko on Nov 23 thne sabi ko i need to renew it because CEM required the maroon tapos sinabi ko i only have 45 days to comply with this, then un inapproved nya at diretso process na for renewal

tnx robipark,,ganon,na lamang ang gagawin ko..ilang months bago mo natanggap ppr mo...thru email or snailmail...bale 3 mths na kami na kong naghihintay for ppr,,ist week ng aug. naforward ng embassy ung medical namin...congrts na rin at may ppr ka na..soon naman ung visa mo...in godsway matatapos din lahat ito...again tnx to ur reply..ingat..godbless us all,, 8)

last tuesday we got email regarding transfer of our file to los angeles. today, e-cas was updated, finally something else is written when In Process is clicked it says-

We started processing your application on June xx, 2010.

We transferred your application to the Los Angeles office on October 26, 2010. The Los Angeles office may contact you.

maybe next week it will say medicals have been received? I WISH!

I have been going through this forum a lot, it has lot of information.


Thank you very much for sharing your experience.


I received a letter yesterday that the initial application review is complete and interview has been waived. They have requested me to send the 490 CAD or 490 USD fees.

Buffalo office has mentioned that I have to respond within 90 days.

Buffalo is requesting my wife’s FBI record, we have sent her finger printing card three times to FBI and they have rejected her cards due to unclear finger prints, I am not sure how to proceed further.

Wife and I went for finger printing at the same time mine was accepted by FBI.

Can you please assist?

Alberta PNP nominated in Jan 2010, CRC application sent on Feb 27, medical request received on June 10th, medical request sent to Ottawa Aug 6th

hi I'm bigboy, completed our medical 3rd week of July and forwarded by the clinic to CEM 1st week of August, till now we're still waiting for the PPR, sent email query to CEM for the status but till now we haven't received reply from them. Still have a problem w/ regards to our passport, what we have is still the green one w/ validity on 2012, do we really need to renew it NOW or just wait first for the PPR and send the green passport then wait for further instructions from CEM? anyone, pls reply. thanks

my husband passport is a green one @ has an expiration date of november 2011
we emailed CEM about this after we received our PPR @ the CEM replied:


No need to renew your passport.
You may proceed with the submission of the requested documents.

tnx a lot.jumong,,visa office namin ay makati that is same to manila or separate sila...by tha way we hope na maayos na ung mga papers natin,,,medyo inip na me kasi,,bale 3 mths na papel namin after medical at 7 mths na ung submission namin frm cem,,bale sa pnp category ang processing time nila ay 11 mths un ang nakalagay sa AOR namin...bale no need dw sa follow up sa status ng papers kc its coz of the delay daw hear from cem.only follow up sa ECAS pero in process pa rin,,,,sana xmas gift natin ay ppr at visa en good healh sa atin....tnx again...godblees us...

I sent my passport thru carrier (LBC) last October 29, 2010 and still waiting for the visa

Panu po binalik ang passport sa inyo ? thru carrier,call or massage?

and what is the maximum date before u got your passport back?
