Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

Been a long time lurker. First post. Here's the waiting time of my wife:

Passport Sent: July 7, 2015
Passport Received by CIC: July 8, 2015

Tracker Activated: July 14, 2015
Passport Received back from CIC: July 15, 2015

Faster than I thought. Will probably head to a border to land this weekend since we are fairly close to a border crossing.

Hope everyone receives their passport back soon.

CIC received passport on 9th July. (Ottawa)

Appox how many days it takes for CIC to retun the passport? What is the passport tracker. Is there any link for that? Please let me know?

You haven't received it yet? Geez I don't know it too that long... ive never heard of passport tracker. I don't think passport tracking is available in this situation. Please correct me if I'm wrong. You can, however, track the mail that contains your passports to make sure it got there and track the return envelope

Nope waiting for it.. I have send it through fedex. I have checked it reached there but my return envelop tracking is not activated yet.

did anyone notice of signatory name when mail passport to cic? signatory name of mine is "OTTAWA U POST". is that normal?

Just done waiting 1 month. Still no update.

vfs tracker says below,

Visa application, tracking ID No.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has been received by the Canada Visa Office, Singapore on 22/06/2015 and its under process.

I am outside Canada and the US so I had to email Ottawa for instructions on where to send my passport. The auto-reply said it usually takes 20 days to respond, but I only have 30 to do this. Has anyone else had to get these special instructions recently? How long did it take for Ottawa to reply?

It says in the message that if you are not in Canada or the US you've to email that address for instructions on sending your passport to your nearest visa office.
