No you can't. You can land and go through the amendment process . Or you come back to Canada and book an appointment with CIC office and land there. They would correct it there.

I have the same issue. I booked an appointment with CIC office at Toronto.

I'm bit confused. My concern is when I come back I'll be using COPR papers to enter Canada which means my landing process will be completed at airpot. After I land can I still call CIC office and book an appointment with them to get the entry date corrected?

One option is come back the regular way with your WP and TRV. After that book an appointment and then do the landing at the CIC office. Otherwise, land at the airport and go through the amendment process. It shouldn't really be a big concern. It is a matter of few weeks to get it corrected through amendment process.
