My landing experience :)

I went to Niagara Falls Sunday and stayed overnight. Monday morning around 8 am I went to the Rainbow bridge. Paid 50 cents to cross the bridge. I walked to the US side in 5 mins. There was nobody in the line. The officer asked my passport. I told him that I have no intention to go into US. And I told him that I just want to complete my PR process. He gave me a piece of paper and whole process took only 2 mins. I walked back to Canadian side. The officer asked my passport. Also, asked me about the COPR document. Then he sent me to other building beside the entrance. There was nobody in the line up again :) I presented my passport, COPR document and waited only 5 mins. The visa officer signed up the document and done :) Everything went smoothly.

I would like thank to everyone who gave me valuable information on this website. And I wish good luck to whom still waiting for their process.

Cheers!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. This piece of paper that US office gave you. Is it the administrative refusal that I have seen some people mention in their posts?

Honestly, I was so excited & nervous at that moment that I did not even check that paper :) I folded it and put it in my passport then gave it to the officer in Canadian side.

Here is my case....

Medicals done: Jan 3rd, 2014
Passpost requested: Oct 10th
Passport Received by CIC: Oct 23rd
CIC asked me to send photos: on Nov 3rd
Photos received by CIC: Nov 6th

Still return tracker not activated...getting impatient and worried as its getting close to 1 year validity of my medicals :(

I would say yes, it must have been the administrative refusal.

I don't understand, why CIC ask for your photo after passport receive? I thought asking for passport means all other task has been completed - only visa printing required...

I was puzzled as well... :o

Hi KGanapathi,

I was unable to send you personal message because your inbox is full. Please clean it up.
Yes, you are right. The visa will be valid until Jan 2015 for both of you.
1 year validity is counted from the day we have done our first medical exam(physical exam).

Hi, thanks I cleaned up my inbox and thanks for info as well!
