Hi,

Our passports were sent to my lawyer. My lawyer confirmed receipt of our passports today. It was received my CIC on 29th July. All the best to the rest of the folks.

Just in case if you'd be interested to know my timelines.

App Received: 16th Dec
AOR Received: 05th Feb
MR Received: 02nd July
Bio Data and RPRF Request: 02nd July
Fees Paid: 02nd July
MR Done: 03rd July.
MR result uploaded: 09th July
ECAS Status changed on 12th July to "Medical results have been received"
ECAS Status changed on 22nd July to "Decision made"
PPR 25th July
Passport Sent 28th July
Passport received by CIC 29th July
Passport Received back: 30th AUG

Hi All,

It's been a terrible experience waiting for passport. Mine was received by them on Aug 5th, and in between I got a requirement to travel on an urgency. As soon as I knew I emailed them - no response. I even sent all my documentation (including tickets) to CPC, but of course they didn't bother responding. I heard they even shut off their auto-replies.

My tracker hasn't been activated yet, and it looks like I will have to cancel my flight on Thursday. It's really bad because I needed to be with my family at this time. No one cares. Literally no one.

So sorry to hear that! I'm also waiting since July 29th for tracker to get activated. I don't understand why CIC does not deal with passports separately. Passport is very important to people (especially who are international here). There should be a separate email address which only responds to emergencies etc. Really feel sorry for you that you can't be with your family right now because of the way these cases are handled. I hope you do get some good news in a day or so.

Thank you for those kind words. If by some miracle they send my passport, I will surely update the forum here.
At this point, I'm just trying to deal with a very-stressed out family back in India.

I agree- they should have a separate email for emergency travel. When I called CIC they suggested to speak to the Indian embassy to issue a temporary travel document. But of course, that wouldn't allow me to enter back to Canada. I would be without passport in India, and most likely, stuck. I couldn't afford to take this risk - my employer has been flexible enough as it is.

So no choice but to wait. And wait.

Yes, our passports were received by my lawyer and she would send it to me today and hopefully I should receive it tomorrow.

Good news folk. I just checked on canada post website it says my item was processed at ottawa around 1830. Hopefully earliest by Thursday I will have it.

Congrats... mine was around same timeframe on Friday... I enclosed a xpresspost return envelope..
