Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

It's a good assumption, but also I think it's safe to wait at least two weeks before assuming anything.
I completely understand how you feel, I submitted my passport a week ago as well, and I know as much as I would like to know how is my passport doing in the innards of CIC, it's just not possible. Current trend is about two weeks. Hopefully it will stay like that. If I get it back within two weeks I'll be very happy, I am counting on about 20 calendar days, so closer to 3 weeks, I don't hear anything back in 20 days, I would maybe start to wonder, and perhaps write them a letter. Again, hopefully it would not come to that.

CIC received my passport a week ago and the return tracker has not yet been activated.

I am assuming that is positive and they have accepted my passport for stamping, or else they would have returned it by now. Is that a bad assumption?

I have sent my passport yesterday....I want it back by 2nd dec... as my wife is would go back home .... otherwise I have to change the ticket.. I will wait till 30 Nov....if my return tracker does not get activated I would change it

I currently work in US, planning to do landing with my COPR will stay only for 2 days..
Can i tell visa officer that i ll land and goback to US, I am planning to give friend adress for collecting PR card.

What docs do i need for landing, Appreciate your help, thx

o! o! don't say that you are going back! one of the border officer's jobs is to make sure that you are proceeding to canada and are going to reside there. something else, you are not allowed to leave canada untill you get your PR card.

Oh! I did not know that US is exception. then you are good! except that you don't have to tell theofficer that you are planning to leave Canada immediately. They won't like it.
