Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

Got my passport today with COPR and new one time entry visa stamped. The old visa is not cancelled. It will be during my landing procedure. One important thing is that my passport is going to expire in April next year (less than a year left) and as such my visa has been issued till the end of my passport expiry date. Have got enough time to do the landing. I might do the landing in November as I need to attend a conference in UK in October and go to my home country. So i will send my passport to UK immigration office again for a fresh UK visa.

Thanks to all who have been so helpful. The list of names is really big. This is a wonderful site and the spirit is top-notch. All the very best to all who are waiting for the next stages of their application processing.

Hello waiting84,

I suggest add 2 columns. One is for place from where application is filed and second form where Passport is sent back. For example I filed by application from Dubai and My passport will be returned from CHC London. This will be more effective to understand waiting time if for the respective applicants.

Yes I agree. But I think most of applicants have filed their application within Canada. But I think it will be useful. So 3 new columns?
I would like to ask all users in this list to provide those information. VO code, Applied location and passport received location.

final waiting unbearable.... I submitted mine & my wife passports to Ottawa and visa office received it on 18th July , I believe it might takes 3-4weeks, some candidates get their PR Visa in a week, how is that possible ? does this goes on a priority based or first come first serve basis ???

I know its frustrating...CIC received mine and my wife's PP on 9th July and still waiting...checking in every other hour whether the tracker gets activated or not...i don't know when this wait game will over with a positive note...Good Luck to you all though..

Waiting is definitely frustrating but seeing this negativity at this stage. ... not fair dudes!! Then what shall the rest of us do, who are still waiting for medical or ppr?

Just requesting you to realize that you guys should have the least of worries. You are so close to the finish line., why utter something like 'i don't know if it will end on positive note' ??. ...

Hi Dec2010,

Depending on how soon you sent your previous email, i guess it totally makes sense to send another email. You have sent passports more than a month ago, even DM status was assigned more than a month ago.

Plus, the way things are going in CIC - one day they are sending the docs to a lawyer who is no longer representing that client, the other day they are sending PRC card to the neighbor of the applicant...I'd suggest you to send an email again showing concern that you sent it more than a month ago and haven't heard anything back.

Most probably they will send that standard response - waiting in que for printing visa.
