Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

Hi fellows...
I need you advice. My passport reached at CPP ottawa on 4 June 2013, Since that I have received only response from CIC Ottawa that they have received my passport. What is your advice, should I email them again and inquired about Passport delivery, Its been more than 1 month.

I would recommend you to send an email to: OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca and ask about the delay....as you might have noticed looking at the list posted here that few people have received their PP back withing 10days since last month...hope your one is on the way following our ones as well...good luck

Whats your ecas status? you can send them an email, mostly they will say its in queue for processing or printing visa...

I got a reply from them today. I sent an email 4 days back.

We have received your passport and your application is currently in queue to be finalized. Please note that we are unable to estimate the remaining processing time required for your application. If you have included a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned using this envelope.

Just got my return tracker activated at 6:10 PM after 34 days. I had submitted the passports on the 12th of June.

So my advice to anybody still waiting is to be patient. Even if you email them the only response you will get is that the application is in the queue.

Hi Virajrao,
First of all congrats on receiving your passports back. Ideally, your passport, COPR docs, WP, Driving License (for address proof for sending PR cards) should be enough. But seniors on the forum have also suggested the following. Please bear in mind that the documents listed below are optional and are the docs that I took, but was not asked for at all while doing landing.
1. Pay stub (last 3 months)
2. Bank statement (last 3 months)
3. Marriage certificate copy (if landing with spouse)
4. Children birth certificate (if landing with kids)

They may not even ask for any of this . You take any/every document that will get you peace of mind .

Behzad, lucky dude eh? Just 6 days!! But then the previous 14 months balances it off.

Dec2010, ap2013 - you are added in the list. Hopefully you will hear soon too. Has your ECAS status changed to decision made already? If yes, did it change recently?

My estatus was updated on 3 June 2013, with decision made.. and my passport reached at CPP ottawa on 4 June 2013. Since then no update from CIC, I got one email saying ... My passport reached at CPP Ottawa and in queue for final processing..but it is taking too long.... I sent another email them on monday.. but did not receive any response.. from CIC..

What would you guys suggest...

Usually, what i have observed here is as soon as the DM status is updated in ECAS, PPR arrives within 3-4 days max. Again, that is not happening in every single case here, but i have seen couple of recent ones going in this way. Its obvious that yours is taking double the time than someone who sent the passport couple of days around you. If you have already contacted CIC and they have responded with 'your passport is in the que for printing visa' line, then be patient a little more and you will get it soon. But you have no reason to worry at all.

Congrats to all those who got their PPR's and landed.

Can someone please answer my question below:

After PPR is requested and when the passports are sent. Does CIC cancel the existing Temporary Resident Visa and issue single entry Immigrant VISA? Can seniors please respond to my question based on your experience.
