Hello Folks,
If you have sent your passport and waiting for it, please add your case here and update this.
Thanks

I have sent my passport on June 6th and it's received by CIC on June 7th

Hi,
I am a new member and find myself in a very complex situation
my application for PR has been approved sometime in april13 and I have to send my passport and my family passport to Canada for visa stamping.
I send to them all the passport from UK to Canada (Indian passport working in UK on work permit) in may13.
It has been received by them in june
and visa has been stamped for only a month since my daughter passport expire in july13.
To expedite the process they asked me to send Canada address which I have given to them and here the problem started
1. I have given wrong flat no. Of my friend address though everything else is correct.
2. I asked to Canada immigration after 2 days once I realise my mistake to send to correct address .

The problem is

1. I am not sure whether they have send my passport to wrong address or right address since not getting any response from them.
2. since the passport has been send by regular mail I am not able to track it.
3. Since I just have 1 month duration I am not sure by that time I will be even get my passport back, in that case do I need to apply again.
4. I m in UK and If I never receive the passport I don't know what to say to UK police to get the FIR against which I can apply for the new passport.
Please help and suggest if anyone has gone through that situation.

They received mine May 24, and I'm still waiting. Checking the Canada Post tracker several times a day.

Me too..they received mine on May 16, wait is on... same here...Canada Post tracker has become my favorite site..;)

My passport reached CPPO on May 17th..still waiting. The passport return time seems to be quite unpredictable like everything else in this process. I know it's frustrating...can't understand why they take so much time to stamp the passport but I guess there is nothing we can do to speed it up.

I have sent an email to CIC asking how long would they take to send the passports. If they do not respond by Friday, will send them another email on Monday. Will continue sending them emails till either they respond or I get the passport back ;)

Hi Anamadheya,
Namaskara :)
Did you do your medicals before they ask for it? How does that work? Please provide some information.

I am sure, you must have seen this. But for those who have not, it appears that CIC employees (at least some of them) are on strike

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2013-06-11.asp

"June 11, 2013 — The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.
"

Lets hope it is over soon and services are restored to normalcy :)

Return tracker activated today. Passport reached CPPO on May 17th.
