Hey! Me and my family wrote our citizenship test on July 16th 2013, and we all passed.

I would just like to know how long it will take for me and my family to be called for oath since i plan on leaving the country on the 8th of August for 2 weeks, and would just like to know whether that would be okay or should I just wait for my Oath.

I live in Toronto-Scarborough.

i am exactly in the same boat as you awaiting for a oath ceremony...we were told the oath waiting time is 6-8 weeks. I don't know about you but i am not going no where till it happens...lol...Choice is yours as that invitation letter could be in your mail box next week....usually they do send it out two weeks in advance but no guarantees

If you can wait until Oath, then I recommend just wait. Why keep the door open for any possible trouble?

Exactly. Stay in Canada, do the oath, get new, shiny Canadian passports and then travel :)
