Waiting for MR after AOR (2013 and Jan 2014 Applicants please join here)

Hi Guys,

I applied for PR under CEC on Jan 24. AOR recvd Feb 26. While I am patiently waiting for my MR, just wanted to open this discussion to get an idea why it is taking longer for few chosen ones. I understand each applicants are unique, yet trying to figure out some reasons for delay.

For me, I sent birth certificate of my new born 2 months back. I suspect that this may have caused slippage in the queue order of processing. (Sending additional documents mean some more time to process it).

Does similar thing happened to you as well? I mean everyone waiting for MR after AOR - have you been requested additional documents or sent documents voluntarily? Just throwing it out.

Hi ... I am also waiting for MR. I applied on jan 6 and received AOR on feb 21 .... after that I didn't receive any update or info from them....... dont know what is happening... Many friends I know applied after me got MR and status got changed... If you gets MR please put a message here...

Even i am waiting for medicals / updates form CIC.can see my timelines to the left.i am sure there are many people from oct/nov/dec waiting for meds/updates .

Thank you Akil. Yes I am patiently waiting. Things will turn out well. I am just wondering if there is any reason why select few are not sent MR yet. Did you get any request for more documents OR did you send any document voluntarily after you got AOR?

No i haven't received any request .
i sent PCC after receiving AOR in march and updated my 2013 t4 and NOA last week voluntarily

Seniors please suggest....

Applied in CEC Worker Class in April, got AOR..planning to submit Upfront Medicals.

Called up the doctors office and they said we don't suggest to submit Upfront Medicals as they don't have IME number.

Additionally my wife and kids name are not on the AOR email that I received....which will be used as supporting document for Upfront Medicals...doctor office lady told how can they know if these people are part of this application.

Please suggest if I should go ahead and submit the Upfront Medicals or wait....

Also my kid is under 5 years and US Born should I still submit medical....

I have not recieved any mail afyter AOR to send further docs or details. I haven't send voluntarily too...Since I am not sure what they need further to send.I have submitted everything required while applying including PCC. Not understanding why this is delayed... Got my AOR on feb 21. People got AOR on same date started getting MR from July itself .... We can hope for the best .

I am in this boat. I guess my visa office is in Beijing not Ottawa, since I applied after leaving Canada. Hope we could get MR within next month.

By the way, do you think it is the right time for us to do upfront medical exams?

My application was submitted to Ottawa office in Jan 2013! After getting AOR, I came back to Beijing to work. So far, I still haven't received PPR yet. I have no idea what makes my case going way beyond general processing time. Your case is still fresh to CIC Beijing Visa office lol.

I am in the same situation. waiting for MR. Applied on 14th Jan 2014. AOR on 20th Feb. Additional documents on 28th July. Since then nothing..

Ok this is my theory: If you have been asked any additional document or you have submitted any document voluntarily, your application takes longer time to process. I will say hang in there, we will all hear back soon! God bless.

It can very well be the case, but I was requested for T4, NOA and additional reference letter for another company outside my CEC claimed experience. My application was processed in just over 7 months.
