Waiting for fingerprints results and background verification completion

Plz join this thread if you submitted fingerprints but still waiting for an update on background verification.

Fingerprints submitted- 24th feb 2021
RCMP verified and sent results to IRCC - 14th March 2022
But still waiting for an update….

Waiting since Dec 2021 on my BG checks. submitted FP on Dec 13th, forwarded by RCMP to IRCC on the 29th.

I am in Richmond Hill, ON and the request came from IRCC Vancouver
Through the GCMS notes I found out that IRCC Scarborough is the secondary office

yes it was received by IRCC, they've confirmed this for me, My BGC still in progress.

Hi everyone,

i sent an email to rcmp at 9:15 am this morning to confirm if they have already sent my results to IRCC. To my surprise, i received a reply within 21 mins and it said that they have sent it via mail on March 28, 2022.

I just want to know is this normal ? As it said on rcmp website that is there are no issues found then reports are sent within 1-3 business days or else manual verificationis required which can take upto 120 days. I gave my finger prints on Monday, March 14, 2022. And the results were sent on Monday, March 28, 2022, almost 10 business days after.

Is it something to worry about ? Has anyone observed such trend before from someone else posts and later there background checks were marked as completed ?

nothing to worry about i guess, 10 days average processing sounds reasonable for RCMP! seeing BGC completed is up to IRCC mine still in progress adter submitting FP's by 4 months, other got it updated in a month! so it really depends.

big step, they received my application oct 28 2020, they asked me for fp on sep 14 2021... congrats
my oath was on feb 07 2022,,,

In my case, it took me 6 months after submitting the fingerprint to complete background verification. I completed my fingerprint in Sep 2021 and my background was verified in March 2022.
