I got an email from IntelliScreen Canada Fingerprint Search Notification of @orphocanada.ca These are my details of file number and the record date for the fingerprint and status of it The Canadian Authority has acknowledged receipt of the transaction.

That's standard - A local agency has sent it to the local or provincial police. From there it will be electronically sent to IRCC within couple of days. But the real results will be when IRCC updates your profile.
You have a local confirmation that satisfies the $ you paid, but it's a wait situation for IRCC to confirm. See my signature on when IRCC received them.!

Same here, ON profile, Vancouver processed my profile. Mine is still stuck somewhere don't know why.!

I did my fingerprints at one of the locations in Mississauga on March 9,2023. My deadline is April 7,2023 by which they should have received the check but my citizenship tracker is still showing waiting for fingerprints.

Is this normal? Could it be that they received it and didn’t update yet?

I have seen lot of you guys know when RCMP sent background check to IRCC. How did you guys find out that?

Problem is not RCMP, problem is IRCC that takes ages to acknowledge receipt of FP and update the application. Such an outdated system they use for this! This can easily be automated, but NO, IRCC has to abide by its old-age out of date processes.

If you are wondering why I sound frustrated, then you should now that I am 2017 applicant, and I am still without a Citizenship. I tried everything, from MPs to Lawyers, nothing worked.

Oh my goodness. Do you know what caused the delay? Are you a citizen now?

For most people, Vancouver tends to be the office to send the fingerprint request even though local office is another.

My test was completed in March 2nd week. I haven't heard back from them since. Is there anything I can do to reach out IRCC? I mean like we have GCMS for PR similarly do we have some option for citizenship as well?


I need passport for one of my job applications. Can I reach out to IRCC on email or phone or anything like that?

Im in a similar fix! I finished my test in June. My criminal check ( security is cleared)is pending since june and I am sure they need my fingerprints but I am waiting for the letter. People who have the same timeline have already taken oath!
