Voluntarily sending in more proof of relationship

i feel like i didn't send in enough proof when we submitted the app, so i've now voluntarily sent more proof (call logs and western union receipts).

the problem is that it seems they take 30 days just to get around to an email... does that mean it'll take them 30 days to add the voluntary proof to my file? i'm concerned that if an officer picks up my file and begins reviewing it before then, they won't have the voluntary proof on hand.

If they need more proof, they will ask for it.

Your application will not be denied, without first being asked to submit more evidence.

I do not see the harm in sending more proof. If they get it great if not nothing to lose. Send it to the VO handling your applicvation with the UCI number.

i just spoke with a relative of mine who has some experience with immigration, and he tells me that voluntarily sending in more proof can delay the whole process because the VO need to locate the physical file each time and then they put it at the back of the queue again.

this doesn't make one bit of sense to me. what does an email attachment have to do with the physical file? do they print it off whatever we send and put it in the physical file?

Everything that is submitted has to be scanned and or printed, so it can most certainly add delays.

CIC must be able to provide physical copies of everything, if the applicant requests a `copy' of their complete application, in printed form.

I regularly submitted more proof of relationship such as photos and bank statements throughout the process, and it did not slow anything down. The entire process took 16 months from submitting the application to DM.
Just make sure you are including a cover letter with your UCI or application number so it can be easily added to your file, and explain what you are sending and why.

i just didn't want them putting me in an interview queue, because that can easily add a 12 month delay. my VO is notorious for taking that long to schedule an interview. i just wish this was over already...

If you sent it to the VO handling your file I do not think it will delay it much. Certainly less than an interview. The VO's often request additional information so I am sure they have a process in place.

It's all conjecture. People say files are scanned and sent to the VO after sponsor approval, meaning physical files aren't sent. Also by that logic sending any additional information voluntary or asked for sends you to the back of the queue. I highly doubt that considering people get their apps processed in similar times irrelevant of sending or not sending.

Best thing is to hope for speedy processing. The rest is upto God.

i did too. lots of people have done this. like wazim said, it's all conjecture and god knows what's actually happening in the background. regardless, several weeks ago i sent in a correction for an error my wife made on one of the forms, so this would be the second time i've sent in something voluntarily.

update: just messaged another member who has an immigration lawyer, and he did not mention anything regarding delays associated with voluntary submissions... so that's all still conjecture as wazim said above. the one thing he said to be careful about is to not send in anything that might cause the VO to raise more questions, like for example additional wedding pictures with sad faces or a spotty communication history.
