Yes it is UNFAIR that we have to pay for medical care for those that never contributed to canada tax system ANYMORE than it is UNFAIR that we pay for medical care for sponsored PR parents/grandparents.

So we are in agreement on that?
Yeah. But you are the one who keeps going after the Canadians abroad, yet they are the same as the Canadians/PR's inside Canada who don't pay taxes, when it comes to contributing to the tax system...

At least the Canadians abroad won't use Canada's health care before they come back. The Canadians/PR's inside Canada, however, can keep using health care without paying taxes.

So it is UNFAIR that sponsored PR parents/grandparents get medical access because they never been a tax contributor their entire lives. Glad to know you are in agreement.

Now that we got that settled, guess who else is very similar to sponsored PR parents/grandparents who has been absence from Canada and haven't contributed to medical care.

Absence Canadians.

How did they become absence Canadians. By leaving Canada out of their own free will.

In conclusion, the longer Canadians are absence longer outside Canada, they are closer to being no difference from those parents/grandparents who just got PR. Their absence taxes will never be enough to cover their actual medical cost when they use it.

Did you even read what I posted? There is no such thing as "Absence Canadians", only the "Pay no tax" Canadians. In my eyes, it makes no difference where the "Pay no tax" Canadians live, in Canada or not. They should be treated the same when it comes to health care.

If you have a problem with what I think, be my guest. Let's stop going in circles and agree to disagree here. I really got tired of this.

Yes I have a problem with sponsored PR parents/grandparents having advantage of free medical care on the principle that they never contributed any taxes and never been a resident anymore than Canadians leaving Canada and getting free medical care due to the same reason sponsored PR parents/grandparents.

So I am not going around in circles. I am merely pointing out the flaw in the universal health care system and how Canadians who leave Canada can take advantage of it.

You do know what "universal" means, right? :p

You can try to rename it to "non-universal pro-rated health care for those who pay certain amount of taxes, and stayed inside Canada for certain years", but I image that'll be difficult, both to remember and to implement LOL

Got another question. Why is that those who were refused PR dued to "excessive demand on medical services". If residency is the only requirement according to you, the "excessive demand" should not apply. Because they have no contributed a single dime in taxes in their lives and the medical cost will then be covered by other taxpayers expense.

Just cause it says universal doesn't mean it's fair. I guess it is fair according to you that the rich family with children get the universal child benefit even though they don't need it. All because according to you its universal. And guess what, the government can change that or even eliminate it. So if a government can change it, so can the changes to medical care to Canadians who leave Canada and not pay taxes towards it when they come back.

The point is that a new implementation system is hard to do, doesn't change the fact that Canadians who leave Canada and not pay into Canada taxes gets unfair free coverage of medical access when they come back anymore than sponsored PR parents/grandparents gets unfair free coverage of medical care.
