Hi.. i just checke my gc key for visitor which i applied on wednesday.. it shows a new status of medical passes.. is it a good sign

School certificate was submitted to get the sisters passport which was having date of birth. This certificate is having DOB & fathers name, but mothers name is not available on it.
We dont have parents marriage certificate. But sisters passport is having both the parents name but without surname.
Can we submit any affidavit mentioning the relationship along with the sisters passport copy. Can we submit another affidavit with surname of my mother along with other proofs which are having surnmae of my mother i.e passport copy, PAN card, voter ID card, bank statement etc.

Can they accept ration card also as a relationship proof?

What did you submit to get a passport for your sister (i.e. without a birth certificate)?

Does her school leaving certificate state your mom's name?
You can submit a copy of your sister's passport (which has both your parents' names) + your parents' marriage certificate

Do ration cards exist? Anyway

You can include a copy of your sister's passport which has your mom's name + copy of your mom's passport which has your dad's name as her spouse. That should work

Estimated processing times are in calendar days, not in business days. This is good because one does not have to check for weekends/holidays

I just checked status of my sister and brother in law’s visitor visa application status on VFS webpage.

It say that their passport has been dispatched today…

Processing time shows by CIC is 24 calendar days.

They have submitted their passport on Feb 2 2017 at VFS Ahmedabad.

And today is Feb 13th and they will have their passport tomorrow. Only 11 calendar days !

Why it it so much faster ? only 11 calendar days ! How come ? Processing time says 24 days !! ???

Hi Raj,

Processing times are only estimates. Some cases could be decided faster, like it was for your sister and BIL.

Also, your sister's TRV app was marked as CAN+ by the VFS guys = faster processing.

Have you been able to link their applications?

I tried few times today as well but I couldn't found their application online to link it with my cic account. Don't know y ? why ?

Faster processing time for their application is good sign or bad ? ???????

Because she had Canada visa before for 2.5 years and she has used it to visit Canada only once for 90 days ?????

You've done your best. Now you can hope for the best.

Based on their strong ties which you had mentioned, I think they have good chances of getting approved. We'll know when they get their passports back in less than 24 hours.

Hopping for the best as my sister is student and brother in law has decent job....

Moreover...only two weeks itinerary with detail description of each day activity.....

Hi,
I applied for my parents visitors visa on 27th Jan via paper application, vfs hyderabad. Today the status got changed to :
"Visa application, tracking ID No.xxxxxxxxxxxxx, Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 10/02/2017 vide courier partner. To track the status of the shipment, please visit courier partner website."

How do I track their passports??
Please do help me if anyone knows.

I could able to link visitor visa application to online account….I found out that I have entered wrong info ($ amount to support in Canada)

My sister has updated form after she sent me an email….

It says “This application has been approved”.... for both my sister and brother in law status

Wanted to share the timeline for TRV Tourist
Applied on 20.01.17 at VFS Delhi
Passport sent on 23.01.17
Linked my paper application with my CIC account on 08.02.17
Today the status shows Closed
Your Application has been Approved ie 14.02.17
What does his mean as I applied for my 2 children and wife for a tourist visa.
The VFS status still says it's under process.....
