Today the status shows Closed
Your Application has been Approved ie 14.02.17
What does his mean as I applied for my 2 children and wife for a tourist visa.
The VFS status still says it's under process.....

Ignore what the VFS status says because that doesn't get updated to give you actual updates.

Thanks Bryanna for all your help. Hope they have been issued long validity visa as mein was almost 9 years when I applied the first time in 2012 but it only took 4 working days to process. With my family it took 23 calendar days. Too long.....
Will check VFS website tomorrow and see if the passports are ready for collection

If you have already been issued a TRV then yes, you must have a return ticket. Most airlines will not let you board the flights with a one-way ticket

i just want to ask if i link paper application to online gckey account, will it stop showing status update on vfs website using the tracking no?

or can be checked both ways?

passport was given same time with papers.

You can check on mycic account as well as VFS tracking web page too.

I am sure about how to un-link it but it has nothing to do with decision on your application.

Don't worry....

Checking online status doesn't have to do anything with application decision

Visitor visa application decision is based on home country ties, travel history, length of visit, and many more factors.

we are going to upload the proof of relationship on CIC account along with the demand letter received from CHC. Could you pls confirm if we need to submit any covering letter as well along with these documents? If yes pls help to provide some performa covering letter.
Also confirm if we can submit these documents thorugh VFS also along with the online updation.

School certificate was submitted to get the sisters passport which was having date of birth. This certificate is having DOB & fathers name, but mothers name is not available on it.
We dont have parents marriage certificate. But sisters passport is having both the parents name but without surname.
Can we submit any affidavit mentioning the relationship along with the sisters passport copy. Can we submit another affidavit with surname of my mother along with other proofs which are having surnmae of my mother i.e passport copy, PAN card, voter ID card, bank statement etc.

Can they accept ration card also as a relationship proof?

You have to send these additional documents through your online account. Not through VFS.

There's no need for a cover letter. If you want to include a cover letter then make one single PDF i.e. cover letter + proof of relationship
