Hi,

Am on Work permit and i applied visitor visa for my wife as she will be accompanying me as a dependent to Canada. Applied online on July 5th, Got an update Medicals Passed on 11th July , after that there was no update on the application, its been 32 days by today.

The processing time in website is 33 days, is it 33 calendar days or 33 business days?
Is there any way we can find where our application is being processed (Delhi or Bangalore)?

Waiting fingers crossed.

When did you applied? Was it online or on paper and what is the reason they said?

I had applied through online mode on 4th july 2016

Has anyone submitted a paper application for TRV recently? How much time does it take for TRV. I had applied for my wife on 28th July at VFS, Ahmedabad. It shows under process at Bangalore. Is there a way, I can get more information about the status or timeline?

I tried to link the application, but even after trying for many times with proper information, it says, we could not find matching application. Not sure if this linking system works or not.

I would like to share timeline of super visa application for my parents :

Timeline as follows:

Online application submitted: July 6th, 2016
Application has been updated (No Change/Update): July 7th, 2016
Application has been updated (Medical Passed): July 12th, 2016
New message in account (Original Passport Request) : August 3rd, 2016
Application has been updated (No Change/Update): August 4th, 2016
Passport submitted at VFS Chandigarh: August 5th, 2016

I hope everything should go as fine as till now and wish my parents may receive multiple super visa. I will keep this timeline updated.

Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on August 9th, 2016
Final decision: This application has been approved.

Hello All,

I need help in filing TRV online, i need format or content of recently applied invitation letter, proof of means of financial support, Letter of explanation, Employer letter others if any.
Does somebody have a checklist of what to be attached in an online application for TRV.


Application for Visitor Visa Made outside Canada (IMM5257) section:
Filled Form
Question in the above form:Question 10: marital status is widowed and the question 11 asks for have you been previously married anser is yes and mentioned my Late father in laws details m i right in doing so?
I tried answering no that does not work or accepted the forms through and error message.
Languages section: i mentioned regional language in section a) and neither is what i selected in section b) and c)
Can i provide my number as alternate number or my mother in law?
Employment section i am mentioned all the places my in laws lived during their employment days.
she has a fresh passport so NO is the answer for all background information questions. m i missing something here ?
Can ask her to sign and use a pic of the same as digital signature? and if i am the representative staying in canada do i still need to send it to new delhi (use outside canada form) or i can send it to canada visa office (use inside canada forms)?

Invitation letter section i am going to attach the following:
Invitation Letter from myself and my wife
Passports (mine and wife's)
PR Cards Copy
My bank statements (personal & Business)
Notice of Assessment
Power Bill (For Address)
Lease Document (For Address)

Business Incorporation Letter
Air Travel itinerary


I feel the may area of concern is the proof of means of financial support section, i have the following for the same:
Mother--in-law
cover letter explaining the family composition and need to come to canada and reasons which mandate her return to india
pension certificate
bank statement for pension certificate
personal bank statement and a letter from bank mentioning the current balance
property document (Sale Deed) for farmland, apartment and house.(these documents are in regional language which have been translated to english and affidavit added by translator. The confusion is whether to attach notarised regional documents along with the translated documents? -------Do we need to get a evaluation from a CA of the properties current value)


Digital Photo:
Soft Copy of photo (35mmx45mm)

Purpose of Travel:
Cover letter
Doctors Letter for expected delivery date
Medical Reports


Family Information Form:
Filled Form

Proof Of Relationship section:
cover letter
Marriage Certificate(mine)
Birth Certificate
Passport (Mine and wife's)

Schedule 1 Application for TRV made outside canada (IMM5257) Section:
Fille Form (can i ask in law to sign on a document scan the same and use it as digital signature in pdf?)


Letter of Explanation:
I don't know what this section should consist of actually, but i am attaching some a cover letter extra CRA documents like payroll deduction and gst payments made.

Do i need to attach the checklist document in an online application as well?

For visitor visa paper based application from India... Do we have to include all details (such as current and past job details , umemployed period, education details for the past 10 years) in employment section of IMM 5257 application form .... OR just employment details are good enough.........

And how much time it is taking now for paper based visitor visa application...... ?
